The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimizer Review

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimizer Review ISLM Writer: Hina Hellooooo my lovelies, Here I am with my review of The Body Shop Tea Tree pore minimizer. I simply adore this product. It was during one of my random visits to The Body shop that I glanced upon this beauty. At first I was not sure on how to use the product, however the SA somehow convinced me it is worth the money and after using it for more than a year now, I must say, I am head over heels for this product. I am so impressed by this product that I can skip my daily dose of BB cream but not this. It’s that one go to product I would carry with me in my handbag. It can be used on its own for a natural smooth finish and can also be doubled up as a base or primer prior to applying foundation/BB cream. It makes my skin glow. Just a little pore minimizer, topped with translucent powder, lip gloss and an eyeliner and you are all set to go! It works for me as a multi purpose product because it tightens, moi

CULT STATUS: Repurchases From The Body Shop

My Repurchases: The Body Shop Vitamin E Night Cream & Intense Moisture Cream So... I get these pangs to meet my sister on and off... You know how it is with sisters right :) So this time on I planned a weekend trip to Bangalore to spend some quality time with my baby sister and just relax... But God had other plans and we spent the weekend doing all sorts of things... From an overnight camping trip at the foot of Savanadurga to climbing it (it is one of the largest monolithic hills in Asia), from spending the night in tents to getting lost in the interiors of Karnataka in torrential rain, from eating voraciously to shopping like a maniac and finally ending up missing my flight back home even while arriving at the airport 1 hour before departure, the weekend at Bangalore was FABULOUS! Plus the weather! Wow the weather... You Bangaloreans reading this post are one lucky lot! :D

REVIEW: The Body Shop Rainforest Coconut Hair Oil

Review of The Body Shop Rainforest Coconut Hair Oil The pati and I have this ritual, where once a week we both take turns and give the other a rigorous champi ... The day varies, the oil varies but the USP is the same... Pamper the other to in turn receive a little pampering yourself... The hair oil that we have been using in the past ranged from the Parachute Coconut Hair Oil to Dove Elixir to even Bajaj Almond Drops... The scene however changed when we tried out The Body Shop Rainforest Coconut Hair Oil for the first time and haven't looked back since...

REVIEW: The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing Serum

I am an army (fauji) brat... Changing houses every second year, changing 13 schools and making new "best" friends every year is what I have been doing since I can remember. Regarding best friends, either my dad would get posted out to a new city or my then best friends' dads would get posted out :P So I ended up with new best friends almost every year :) Believe it! My childhood was spent in army cantonments all over the country ranging from well known

REVIEW & LOTD: The Body Shop Eye Shadow in Midnight Blue (42)

Addiction they say is bad... It is the root cause of many an evil but what does one do when they tell you that the product that you are addicted is actually good for you, for your skin, for the environment and even kind to animals? LOL... That's a catch 22 situation isn't it? ;) Yup this happens when you are addicted to TBS :P But you know the strange part, even though I had tried like all kinds of body butters and lotions and shower gels they had to offer, I had never tried out anything from their makeup range barring the lip glosses... Strange isn't it? So this time I made a conscious effort and got myself TBS Eye Shadow in Midnight Blue ... Midnight Blue is a greyish, violet-y blue that looks anything but "midnight-y". It is more like the color of an overcast sky that warns you about a thunderstorm. The description might sound a little grave but on the eyes it looks anything but. It is a gorgeous shade that I think would suit all kinds of skintones... From t

TUTORIAL/READER REQUEST: Simple Wedding Eye Makeup

Yes yes I am doing a tutorial on a very simple wedding eye makeup today. It was requested by Supriya Pawar as she is getting married in a small town... Though I don't know the venue details but I know it's gonna be a bengali wedding and so I am dreaming of the locale to be the exotic Sunderbans with their tropical mangroves and a rustic setting... Oh! It sounds all romantic and adventurous all at the same time :) Isn't it :) Supriya, I wish you a very happy married life ahead :) Now because of the locale she will not be having any access to any MUA and so she has to do her own makeup! For some it's scary but for me who did her own wedding makeup, I say go for it girl! It'll be fun and it'll be something you'll remember forever :D Fret not! It's your wedding and anything you do will be seen with reverence and awe ;) TRUST ME! Unless of course you have some nagging aunts in the family who don't approve of anyone doing anything ;) So enough of my ra

REVIEW: Cosmedic Cerava Quick Relief Therapy Gel

With cold winter winds blowing and dip in the temperature, my skin braces itself for the harsh and dry weather... Inline with my skin's requirements my focus shifts from makeup to skincare every winter and this winter is no different... It is no secret that I have extremely dry skin and come Winter, I slather and almost clog my skin with layers and layers of Olive Oil, Body Butters, Body Lotions and the sundry... Of course my skin fights back to all the "pampering" I shower on it and I keep getting the occasional pimples. Yes! I get pimples in Winters! :/ I have been finding and exploring workarounds to "battle" these bouts of pimples that keep cropping up here and there but had found no permanent solution for it until I received this little wonder from Cosmedic . Now if you are regular with my blog then you'll know a little writeup I had done for them a while ago, but if you are not (Really? You break my heart!), then this is a little refresher link for

REVIEW: The Body Shop Body Butter Duo In Macadamia

I am a Body Butter and a Body Lotion wh*re and nothing, just nothing in this world can make me happier than a new tub of Body Butter :) So when I saw a 25% off discount on TBS Body Butter Duos, I had to get myself one... There were a lot of options fragrance wise but I ended up picking up Macadamia because it had the most subtle and a unique scent... The Body Butter Duos from TBS are exactly what they are called. The tub is divided into two and has a basic body butter for normal areas and has a thick, creamy butter for super dry areas... Macadamia nut as such is rich in antioxidants as well as vitamins A, E, B1, B2, B3, B12, which make them naturally a boon for one's skin. It has a subtle nutty smell that tends to bend towards citrus-y. I love how it smells and have never smelled anything like it before... Nope it is not a beautiful, feminine smell but more of a quirky smell that is comforting at the same time! I speak in contrasts I know but I am not sure how else to describ

Cosmedic... A Dermatologists' Take on Cosmetics...

Ever wished if whatever products you are using on your face and body were actually recommended by dermatologists? Better still, wish they were formulated and "created" by dermatologists themselves? If yes, then fret no more... Your wait is over... I was lucky enough to be contacted by Cosmedic, which is the cosmeceutical division of Future Skin... They sent me some information brochures and some products for me to try out... I have been trying them out since a week now and am quite impressed with them. Dunno if you all have been able to see any marked improvements on my skin since the past week or so :) I will be reviewing the products one by one... This is just going to be an introductory post though... Cosmedic is founded by dermatologist Dr. Kiran Lohia who is a Columbia University graduate and a United States trained M.D, specializing in Dermatology. She is also American Board Certified with a further degree in Aesthetic Medicine. Dr. Lohia is a member of

REVIEW: The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel

Just yesterday I had this incessant urge to re-organize my bathroom counter at 11:20 pm! Yup I have these "Monica Gellar" moments once in a while and the pati looks over helplessly while I overhaul the whole house, organizing, reorganizing and refurbish the whole house :P So while organizing my bath and body products, I realised that ALL of my bath and skincare products were from The Body Shop! I realised I am seriously addicted! That is how I realised that there were so many of these TBS products that were still pending review and I picked up the Satsuma Shower Gel for review today :) First off, it smells divine! It has a warm Orangey fragrance (obviously), which instead of being OTT is actually so refreshing and so yummy that all you want to do is pray that the running hot water in your bath just continues till eternity... I generally have a candle-lit hot shower before bed during the winters, where I pamper myself with luxurious spa salts and all that jazz... But since
