NOTD: Maybelline ColorShow Glitter Mania Pink Champagne Nail Color

NOTD using Maybelline ColorShow Glitter Mania Pink Champagne Nail Color
I love mornings like these... Not rushed, still in bed with my laptop, tapping away at the keyboard gloriously, catching up with other blogs and a bowl of cereal and fruit next to me... I don't think Saturday mornings can be nicer than this... But then again if Spain was still in the tournament and if Cristiano Ronaldo personally would have promised me that he'd score at least 3 goals in Portugal's next match with the USA then of course it would have been a perfect-perfect Saturday :)

Lakme seems is on a roller coaster these days. They have been coming up with many great products which are affordable as well as superb in performance.
They have launched a 9-5 range specifically for office ladies. Under this they have come up with gorgeous lipsticks which made lipgloss girl like me to use lipsticks. They have also come up with 15 amazing nail paint shades which seem to be tailor made for office goers.

REVIEW: Maybelline Color Show Nail Paint in Velvet Wine

Review of Maybelline Color Show Nail Paint in Velvet Wine
Guest Post by Priyanka
Hey there!
ColorShow nail paints have been raved about by international bloggers for a very long time, and now that this range has been introduced in India Indian bloggers have also begun to do the same.
But honestly, the best part is that they retail at $2.99 (approx 185INR) for 0.23 oz (6.8 ml) but in India the price is a mere 75INR for 6 ml! How amazing, right?
With 40 colours in their range with 8 more glitter polishes being introduced, you are sure to find the colour you adore!

NOTD: Maybelline Colorshow Nail Polish in Fiesty Fuschia

Maybelline Colorshow Nail Polish in Fiesty Fuschia on my Nails!
Isn't it always so much fun to experiment with colors, to lose yourself in the rainbow of shades that we can see, to fancy any hue that is possible to create? Red on the lips, purple on the nails, Orange on your cheeks, Teal on your eyes, am sure most of you have done it all...

This brings me to the discussion about Nail Polishes and how nail paint shades have evolved over the years and through the generations. I distinctly remember my mum having a limited set of shades, mostly maroons, purples and chocolate browns. A little variation here and there and that's about the color palette that women, 3 decades ago were content with...

NOTD: Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Buried Treasure

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Buried treasure On My Nails!
My annual trip to my in-laws in Delhi is always something of a celebration and I am generally back 5 kgs heavier, with lots of shopping and well with a cold :P This time is no different and even though I haven't gained 5 kgs, I am 2 kilos heavier (I have found a way around my MIL's desi ghee tadkas), I am back to Pune with makeup (thank you Bobbi Brown and Sephora) and loads of stuff for HOI from Patiala and of course the customary flu (I think it's the pollution there hat doesn't agree with me!)...

China glaze is a known name in the Nail industry. They have some pretty impressive nail lacquer collections which are safe for the nails and they have some amazing shades to offer too. So today I review a shade I think will make for a great evening wear shade. A metallic black shade which goes perfect with those party clothes. So I hope all of you are ready for this Black Diamond.

REVIEW: OPI Nail Paint in Alpine Snow

I love snow. Who doesn’t?? The dreamy white snowflakes, as of course shown on TV, the pristine white of fresh snowfall. And as soon as I pick up this bottle of OPI Alpine Snow, I am reminded of Kufri and its beautiful snow.

REVIEW & NOTD: Maxfactor Nailfinity Disco Pink & Maybelline Colorama Marinho

Mini Review of Maxfactor Disco Pink & Maybelline Colorama Marinho

Guest Post By: Manu
I believe Mix-n-Match does add some spice to your life from the boring monotony. For a person like me, blue and pink adds brightness, why? Blue being “his” favorite and Pink being mine :P I know pretty cheesy reasoning, but for me this be it .

REVIEW & NOTD: Lotus Herbals Colour Dew Nail Enamel in Pink Lustre

Review of Lotus Herbals Colour Dew Nail Enamel In Pink Lustre
Guest Post By: Nandini
What do you all do when you're sad, depressed or disturbed? I paint my nails! :P
Some bright & funky shade of either red or pink. I just CANNOT put other colors like yellow and green. NO!
So, the other day I realized I had given my nails a long enough break from nail paints and it's time to get back to them. The colour I've picked is from Lotus Herbals. Yes,Lotus has nail paints too. And pretty affordable in comparison to my beloved Colorbar.

REVIEW: L'Oreal Color Riche Le Vernis Nail Paint in Flaming Sunset

Review of L'Oreal Color Riche Le Vernis (L'Or Sunset Collection) in Flaming Sunset
The only talked about Nail Paints in town at the moment are the L'Oreal Color Riche Le Vernis Nail Paints that are a special edition and have been launched as a part of the L'Or Sunset Collection for Cannes 2013. They come in a variety of shades (4/5 I think) and I got myself the shade in Flaming Sunset.
Let's go on to see how they fared and if they are worth all the hype!

NOTD: Sally Hansen Gem Crush Nail Paint in Showgirl Chic

Shimmery, Glittery Nails...
All that glitters is not always Gold! It could be Silver too ;) And looking at my nails right now, I know it could as well be Turquoise shimmer too ;)

NOTD: My First Attempt At Nail Art (Free Style)

Pink And Green Nail Art
You know how for each one of us there had always been one subject in school which  was the toughest! For some it was Maths, for some History and for some Chemistry. I was in the latter group where Maths was of no issue but Chemistry had me sweating like crazy... I hated it and it hated me back...

ISLM Rants: What Color Are You Craving To Wear On Your Nails Now?

Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!
How much ever we rant and clarify and scream on top of our voices that we do not follow trends blindly, there is always something that subconsciously creeps into our everyday choices that conforms with the latest trends and makes us a follower as well...

REVIEW: OPI Nail Varnish In Vampsterdam

A Vamp In Amsterdam?

My 2012 Makeup Favorites...

2012 saw me blogging full fledged... I did loads and loads of reviews and makeup looks... I did a whopping 316 posts in 2012 as compared to a measly 105 in 2011 :)
2012 also saw me mature as a blogger... My makeup matured, my hand became more steady and my ideas seemed to get a sophisticated edge :)
2012 also saw me try a host of new products. It saw me hoard a lot of TBS products. It saw me look at product reviews in a new light...
2012 also saw me make a lot of new friends in the blogosphere and it also saw me get my share of hate comments... LOL..
In all 2012 has been a year of a lot of fun and fulfillment :)

Here I am listing out my most favorite products of 2012. Do note that the products listed here are not necessarily 2012 launches but are products that I bought and used for the time in 2012...

1. MAC Paint Pot in Genuine Treasure

Its a gorgeous product and I can very safely say that it is the best paint pot I have ever seen or used :) It seems to have these chunky glitter p…

NOTD: Colorbar Glitterati Top Coat In Disco Gold

There is good bling and then there is BAD BLING... Everyone of us has had those moments when we have been surrounded by the bad bling so much so that all you wanted to do was either throw up or run away to the hills... I know I have! But then there are those good blings too that are subtle and make you want to sing and dance and welcome the festive season with lots of pomp and splendor :)

If you like the good bling, then you must must must check out the new launches from Colorbar... They are the Colorbar Glitterati Top Coat. Available in two shades Retro Silver and Retro Gold, they add a little dazzle to your nails and brigs out the fashionista in you...

Price:
It costs INR 350/- for 15 ml.

Availability:
Available at all Colorbar exclusive stores.

Do you think I should get the Silver one too ;)

P.S. Product sent by PR for consideration. However, my review is honest and is in no way biased.

NOTD: Faces Matte Nail Paint in Champagne Shower Matte

I am a matte girl... Lippies and nail polishes... And this is the first matte nail polish I have ever worn and I am bowled over :)

Faces Canada has introduced a line of matte nail polishes that are both gorgeous and tempting :D Though they are priced at INR 230/- each, which I find really steep for a nail polish, I still intend getting a couple of more shades...

This shade that I am wearing here is called Champagne Shower Matte...

What do you prefer? Gloss or Matte?

NOTD: Revlon Peacock Blue

One week of a taupe shade on my nails and now am back to brights ;) But keeping in mind that it is F/W 2012, I got myself this deep shade of Peacock blue from Revlon...
You like?

NOTD: Bourjois 10 days Nail Enamel in Shade No 23

Aren't you bored of brights and neons and glitters already? I know I am... Since the past 2-3 seasons, the Nail trends have been repeating themselves, calling themselves different each time but actually being the same ol' same ol'... Hence imagine my excitement when I spotted this Taupey-greenish-grey shade at the Bourjois counter at Kunchal's in Delhi... I just had to have it! :P

Price:
It costs a freaking INR 380/-

But it looks so classy and DIFFERENT!

How do you like this off-beat shade?
