Types of Nails you can get at a Salon

Types of Nails you can get at a Salon!
Nails represent one of the most important aspects of female and male beauty. Decoration for nails and nail paint was present for a long time, since Assyrian Empire. There is nothing worse than seeing a set of nails which haven’t been treated properly. Like any other part of the body, it is necessary for us to keep them clean and hygienic.

Normally, women are more attentive to their nails because it represents a part of their overall looks. It is no wonder that different nail salons improved their treatment over the course of years, so nowadays, we have different options when it comes to nails and nail decoration.

Given your preferences, you can choose only paint or perhaps even artificial nails. Whatever you pick, it will make you wonderful.

For the past couple of weekends I have only been lazing around and browsing through fashion and beauty magazines... Leafing through glossy pages one after another can be relaxing, invigorating and stimulating... That apart it can also be informative and now I know this fall is all about GRUNGE where beauty trends are concerned...

Ladies...I have to declare that this is my most favourite shade of this range. I have never been a green girl. I don’t like green color. I don’t have any dresses in green nor even accessories. But this color changed all the old myths. Now, it’s a wrong notion that I and green are no more friends. Green has forgiven me and it look equally chic on me as it does on others. So, no partiality.

Review of Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Blueberry Ice
There is something about Maybelline Color Show nail polishes that makes one never get tired of them... No really what is it about them? Also another question that keeps running through my mind every now and then is, does anyone know the exact number of shades that constitute this range. I mean every time I am on Facebook or at the Maybelline counter, I just keep seeing newer and prettier shades coming out of the Nail Polish factory at Maybelline! I mean really, Maybelline sure has hit jackpot with this range of nail colors!

I love mornings like these... Not rushed, still in bed with my laptop, tapping away at the keyboard gloriously, catching up with other blogs and a bowl of cereal and fruit next to me... I don't think Saturday mornings can be nicer than this... But then again if Spain was still in the tournament and if Cristiano Ronaldo personally would have promised me that he'd score at least 3 goals in Portugal's next match with the USA then of course it would have been a perfect-perfect Saturday :)

Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Nail Paint in All That Glitters
Maybelline had struck jackpot when it launched its Color Show range of nail enamels... Bright hues, quick drying, pretty packaging and extremely comfortable to the pocket were some features that made Maybelline Color Show Nail Enamels a huge hit with everyone... We were all bust getting ourselves gorgeous shades after shades and filling up our vanity drawers when Maybelline shocked us (pleasantly) once again... With Color Show Glitter Mania Nail Enamels...

NOTD: Maybelline Colorshow Nail Polish in Fiesty Fuschia

Maybelline Colorshow Nail Polish in Fiesty Fuschia on my Nails!
Isn't it always so much fun to experiment with colors, to lose yourself in the rainbow of shades that we can see, to fancy any hue that is possible to create? Red on the lips, purple on the nails, Orange on your cheeks, Teal on your eyes, am sure most of you have done it all...

This brings me to the discussion about Nail Polishes and how nail paint shades have evolved over the years and through the generations. I distinctly remember my mum having a limited set of shades, mostly maroons, purples and chocolate browns. A little variation here and there and that's about the color palette that women, 3 decades ago were content with...

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Buried treasure On My Nails!
My annual trip to my in-laws in Delhi is always something of a celebration and I am generally back 5 kgs heavier, with lots of shopping and well with a cold :P This time is no different and even though I haven't gained 5 kgs, I am 2 kilos heavier (I have found a way around my MIL's desi ghee tadkas), I am back to Pune with makeup (thank you Bobbi Brown and Sephora) and loads of stuff for HOI from Patiala and of course the customary flu (I think it's the pollution there hat doesn't agree with me!)...

I believe Mix-n-Match does add some spice to your life from the boring monotony. For a person like me, blue and pink adds brightness, why? Blue being “his” favorite and Pink being mine :P I know pretty cheesy reasoning, but for me this be it .

What do you all do when you're sad, depressed or disturbed? I paint my nails! :P
Some bright & funky shade of either red or pink. I just CANNOT put other colors like yellow and green. NO!
So, the other day I realized I had given my nails a long enough break from nail paints and it's time to get back to them. The colour I've picked is from Lotus Herbals. Yes,Lotus has nail paints too. And pretty affordable in comparison to my beloved Colorbar.

Nail Art #3: Geometry With Black And Blue

Nail Art Using Tape
Nail Art is so much Fun! I mean I never understood why people went so crazy about it earlier... But as I am indulging in it more and more, I feel like a whole new world of colors and patterns are opening up to me and I am loving it :)

Nail Art #2: Grey & Steel

Second Attempt At Nail Art

NOTD: Sally Hansen Gem Crush Nail Paint in Showgirl Chic

Shimmery, Glittery Nails...
All that glitters is not always Gold! It could be Silver too ;) And looking at my nails right now, I know it could as well be Turquoise shimmer too ;)

Pink And Green Nail Art
You know how for each one of us there had always been one subject in school which  was the toughest! For some it was Maths, for some History and for some Chemistry. I was in the latter group where Maths was of no issue but Chemistry had me sweating like crazy... I hated it and it hated me back...

NOTD: Colorbar Glitterati Top Coat In Disco Gold

There is good bling and then there is BAD BLING... Everyone of us has had those moments when we have been surrounded by the bad bling so much so that all you wanted to do was either throw up or run away to the hills... I know I have! But then there are those good blings too that are subtle and make you want to sing and dance and welcome the festive season with lots of pomp and splendor :)

If you like the good bling, then you must must must check out the new launches from Colorbar... They are the Colorbar Glitterati Top Coat. Available in two shades Retro Silver and Retro Gold, they add a little dazzle to your nails and brigs out the fashionista in you...

Price:
It costs INR 350/- for 15 ml.

Availability:
Available at all Colorbar exclusive stores.

Do you think I should get the Silver one too ;)

P.S. Product sent by PR for consideration. However, my review is honest and is in no way biased.

NOTD: Revlon Peacock Blue

One week of a taupe shade on my nails and now am back to brights ;) But keeping in mind that it is F/W 2012, I got myself this deep shade of Peacock blue from Revlon...
You like?

NOTD: Bourjois 10 days Nail Enamel in Shade No 23

Aren't you bored of brights and neons and glitters already? I know I am... Since the past 2-3 seasons, the Nail trends have been repeating themselves, calling themselves different each time but actually being the same ol' same ol'... Hence imagine my excitement when I spotted this Taupey-greenish-grey shade at the Bourjois counter at Kunchal's in Delhi... I just had to have it! :P

Price:
It costs a freaking INR 380/-

But it looks so classy and DIFFERENT!

How do you like this off-beat shade?

#MetallicNails #F/W2012

Now Vogue and Grazia have only been harping on how huge metallic nails are this season... Now I for one do like to look at glossy magazine pages strewn with metallic nail polish laden hands and nails but when it comes to my own manicures that I need to sport everyday, I generally prefer my brights and that too no metal. So how does one strike a balance between the trending nail fad and one's fav (and comfortable) manicure habit?

I kinda found a way in between :P and am quite happy with the result :D

REVIEW & NOTD: Lakme Fast & Fabulous Nail Color in Going Green

I have never ever done a review of a nail polish. Yup have posted a few NOTDs in the past but if you notice, never reviewed a nail polish... But then there is always a beginning right? ;)
I am not a nail paint person partially cause I do not have the patience to sit and wait for the paint to dry on my nails and partially because I somehow like my nails "au naturel" :P But this weekend I went with my bestie for shopping and while she was picking up a Lip Plumper and the Highlighter from Lakme Absolute, I got drawn towards this pretty green :)

I maybe one of the rare few in the Indian beauty blogosphere who is not head over heels over these nail colors. Do not get me wrong, I like them but they aren't really some uniquely awesome product. I still prefer Colorbar and Faces nail polishes over these...

Some Pros of this range are that it has some super gorgeous shades and that they do set in 40 seconds flat like claimed on the bottle... The packaging is very attractive and no…
