REVIEW: TIGI Bed Head Head Rush Spray

REVIEW: TIGI Bed Head Head Rush Spray
Holidays are special, especially if they are in the middle of a work week :)
I generally like to spend such holidays solo, unwinding, chilling and basically doing everything I want to... This involves shopping, spending time at the salon, wandering the streets or spending time at my favourite coffee shop with a book by my favourite author... So this Tuesday (Dussehra day) I decided to walk into my favourite coffee and donut shop with a John Grisham and spent a quality couple of hours...

Comparison Review: Bed Head TIGI After Party Smoothing Cream Vs BBlunt Climate Control Anti-Frizz Cream

Comparison Review: Bed Head TIGI After Party Smoothing Cream Vs BBlunt Climate Control Anti-Frizz Cream
The title of the post is quite a handful don't you think?
Well, like I told you all on snapchat, I will not be doing product reviews that often anymore cause I plan on concentrating more on comparison reviews and giving you the low down between which is the better out of 2 or even 3 products... I think these comparison posts are more helpful and are a little more interesting than simple, off the mill, plain reviews :)
What say you?

Top 3 Haircare Products To Swear By!

Top 3 Haircare Products That I Love!
Its not everyday that I write about Hair Care products on I Simply Love Makeup. I am guilty of getting inclined more towards makeup and skincare and in the process Hair Care suffers... However, the other day while I was going through the motions of organising my dresser (I seriously find it very boring!) I realised that gradually over time hair care was taking more of my grooming time that skincare was and hence I decided to do a post of what I generally do to take care of my hair.

I Colored My Hair with L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss in Iced Chocolate... Again! How & Why!

I Colored My Hair with L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss in Iced Chocolate... Again! How & Why!
I am a huge fan of L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss and when I color my hair at home, I 9/10 times go for this range. And the color that I pick is generally Burgundy. It's always worked for me and its something that is tried and tested and hence I can pick it up with closed eyes...

Its Not Just Hair Color... Its A State of Mind!

Featuring Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Creme Hair Color
I have had grey hair since I don't know when... I guess it a genetic thing and since my primary school days I have had grey hair... Of course people who don't know me well still keep pointing them out to me and as good Samaritans would help me with nuskes and advice.

So I took the plunge finally. I fretted over it for weeks. I went back and forth on my decision. And well finally just went for it and colored my hair :)

I generally go for a rebonding/straightening treatment once a year and hence to give respite to my hair from harsh chemicals, I stay away from hair color... However, my greys were causing to be a huge issue and I finally gave in and embraced color :) All thanks to L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss Ammonia Free Hair Colors...

REVIEW: TIGI S-Factor Papaya Leave-In Moisturiser Spray

Review of TIGI S-Factor Papaya Leave-In Moisture Spray
One day while lunching with my favorite girlfriends, we got talking about how our hair behaves after a wash... A couple of them gushed about how they loved the immediate effect a wash had on their hair but a few days later their hair felt all dry and crazy. And some of us admitted sheepishly that we dreaded washing our hair cause it went all crazy and frizzy immediately after but the hair would calm down in a couple of days...
Admittedly, I belong to the latter group and I am seen dunking chullu after chullu (handful) of serum in my hair on day 1 of a hairwash...

REVIEW: Sunsilk Natural Recharge Strong & Abundant Shampoo & Conditioner With Ginseng Root & Oil

Review of Sunsilk Natural Recharge Strong & Abundant Shampoo & Conditioner
My this year's secret quest (not a secret anymore) is to find some fabulous drugstore products that can give premium/hi-street brands a run for their money. A long shot you say? I say it'll be difficult but not impossible :) Of course I am really curious to find out if I can get myself a drugstore foundation that will make me give up my MAC Face & Body Foundation. But then I'll need to go through 2014 to actually find that out...

REVIEW: The Body Shop Rainforest Coconut Hair Oil

Review of The Body Shop Rainforest Coconut Hair Oil
The pati and I have this ritual, where once a week we both take turns and give the other a rigorous champi... The day varies, the oil varies but the USP is the same... Pamper the other to in turn receive a little pampering yourself... The hair oil that we have been using in the past ranged from the Parachute Coconut Hair Oil to Dove Elixir to even Bajaj Almond Drops... The scene however changed when we tried out The Body Shop Rainforest Coconut Hair Oil for the first time and haven't looked back since...

REVIEW: Aaranya Honey Moisturising Shampoo

Review of Aaranya Honey Moisturising Shampoo
Guest Post By: Manu
A good, different, uncommon name is always like a ‘Jingle in your ears’ which definitely draws your attention. And this shampoo’s name perfectly fits for this phrase. Aaranyaa – a Sanskrit word which historically means green and bountiful forest, so be rest assured to get all the natural ingredients in this product. Ah! What a bliss! It brings me back the memories of my childhood vintage – pure black shampoo with Amla, Shikakai and Methi (fenugreek) seeds. Above all, it also claims to be

REVIEW: The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing Serum

I am an army (fauji) brat... Changing houses every second year, changing 13 schools and making new "best" friends every year is what I have been doing since I can remember. Regarding best friends, either my dad would get posted out to a new city or my then best friends' dads would get posted out :P So I ended up with new best friends almost every year :) Believe it!

My childhood was spent in army cantonments all over the country ranging from well known

REVIEW: The Body Shop Banana Shampoo And Conditioner

I have never ever liked to eat bananas... Never! My dad swears by them but he could never get me to eat them but the day I laid my eyes on the TBS Banana shampoo and conditioner, I am seeing bananas in a totally different light... I might even venture into buying a dozen when I go fruits shopping the next time... Ha ha!

I have severely dry and frizzy hair and yes you may call them damaged as well, I will not take offense to it :P But they have been tamed to quite an extent when I started using the TBS RainForest Shampoo and Conditioner duo... I was really happy with it until I smelled the Banana Shampoo on one of my impromptu visits to TBS. It was love at first smell. Literally! I didn't buy it then cause I wanted to first finish my RainForest range and well needless to say, the day it got over, I rushed to TBS and got me these beauties :)

The Banana shampoo and conditioner look similar with a slight difference in their consistencies. They both look like freshly made banana shake…

REVIEW: Kiehl's Stylist Series Silk Groom Serum

Unlike my skin, my hair has a mind of its own... It ignores my pleas, my efforts behind it and completely disregards the amount of money I spend on trying to tame it... Sometimes I feel like pet owner where my skin is a dog and my hair, a cat :P Strange analogy, I know... But pet owners and lovers will agree for sure ;)

This was the story of my life until I found Kiehl's Silk Groom Serum. This was the first product that I bought from Kiehl's and I must say that this totally got me hooked to the brand! I got it from the Kiehl's store in Inorbit Mall in Mumbai when Jinal, Preetha and Jyoti had met up long long time ago ;)

What The Brand Claims

Infused with a blend of natural oils derived from Sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and Soy beans, our formula smoothes frizz and dry-ends and controls hair without weighing it d…

REVIEW: The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Haircare Range

I don't know if you all have noticed the slow pace of my doing posts lately but if you have then I am sorry for it as my skin is still recovering from the Holi Aftermath and I am not really using many products on my skin. It is getting better but I guess it still needs a few more days. On the other hand, my hair is recovering faster and it is because of TBS Rainforest Moisture Shampoo, COnditioner and Hair Butter :)

The TBS Rainforest Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Butter are some wonder products and I am seriously considering making them my HG hair products. They are perfect for thirsty hair like mine cause they truly moisturise my hair and make them so soft and touchable :) So much so that I am for a change loving my waves :) I have very coarse and dry hair that has a wavy texture and hence is extremely unmanageable and dull to look at. But this range has helped me make my hair so manageable that I am quite loving my hair now :)

These are as you all may already know are…
