REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Magique Kajal in Supreme Black

Review of L'Oreal Magique Kajal in Supreme BlackFollow Me On Twitter

I as a rule do not retrospect. And neither do I introspect. I am just not a retro/introspective person. I prefer to live in the present and take life as it comes. However, like my mom says a little retrospection and a little introspection is what one needs in order to strike a balance in life and make it harmonious. So whenever the pati and I have a fight or an argument, I make it a point to force myself to cud chew about the past and look at my inner self and see what improvements I can bring about in me.

REVIEW: New Maybelline 36H Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Black

Review of Maybelline New 36H Lasting Drama Gel Liner

Are your New Year Resolutions in place as yet? If you ask me then let me say I am toying with the idea of resolutely following "No Cooking in 2014". But that wouldn't really be politically correct now would it? I don't enjoy cooking is putting mildly and hence instead of torturing myself with cooking dinner every other night, I might as well promise myself to get a cook (finally!) and free my precious time for other important things in life like blogging :P

REVIEW: Lakme Eyeconic Kajal

Review of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal

Guest Post By: Marianne

There are those ‘fun’ products like funky nail polishes and show-stopping shades of lipstick that we like to indulge in, and then there are those basic must-haves like your kajal or favourite neutral shade of lipstick that you always have with you, which you keep repurchasing and which almost feel like a comforting old friend. The Lakme Eyeconic kajal could very well be one of the latter types of products for most women.

REVIEW: Aaranya Honey Moisturising Shampoo

Review of Aaranya Honey Moisturising Shampoo
Guest Post By: Manu
A good, different, uncommon name is always like a ‘Jingle in your ears’ which definitely draws your attention. And this shampoo’s name perfectly fits for this phrase. Aaranyaa – a Sanskrit word which historically means green and bountiful forest, so be rest assured to get all the natural ingredients in this product. Ah! What a bliss! It brings me back the memories of my childhood vintage – pure black shampoo with Amla, Shikakai and Methi (fenugreek) seeds. Above all, it also claims to be

First of all, sorry for being MIA. I had tests and a whole lot of assignments. Also, I had to redraft the whole of this review because between having written the review and clicking all the pictures,my thoughts about this eyeliner really changed.
Okay, enough of my ranting.. Moving on.

REVIEW: Revlon ColorStay Creme Gel Liner in Plum Prune

I had read quite raving reviews about this product for non-Indian beauty blogs and when I saw them at the Revlon counter in Pune Central, I knew I had to have at least of these... I did think of grabbing two of these, the brown one and the purple one, but the Sensible Suma that does pop up once in a while warned me against it and advised me to first try out one of them. So I automatically picked up the purple one and brought it home with me.

My first reaction when I opened it was like "It's soooo tiny" and no the reaction was not in a cute way. It was more out of indignation than anything else... I mean they made me pay about 650/- bucks on such a tiny dibbi??? Then I took out the tiny brush that came with it and the cute way it would park itself inside the cap of the container lightened my mood and I was hopeful again :) Pigmentation wise it was superb and I love the little sparkly purple line that it created in just one stroke :)

I wore it and lo and behold, within an…

REVIEW: Colorbar (Precision) Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner

We beauty bloggers are known (and sometimes expected) to keep trying out new products that keep getting launched in the market, but like everyone else we also have a selected few products that are our favorites and we keep going back to them :) Isn't it? Well for me Colorbar Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Black is one of them. I am on my fourth "bottle" and well I am yet to come across an eye liner that competes with it terms of price, pigmentation, staying power and waterproof-ness.

This eye liner has a decent pigmentation and though it may not be the "jettest" of black but it sure is black enough for me. The feature that makes it a champion for me is that it is really waterproof without even flaking... Another super awesome feature of this eye liner is that it stays out on my lids without rubbing/transferring even though my lids are super oily. Lakme intense artist transfers and even duraline mixed eye shadows don't hold up on my oily lids. But this Colo…

REVIEW & LOTD: Chambor Eye Tattoo Liner in Shade ET01

I generally "hoard" a lot of cosmetics (yes you all know that) and though I like to call it "collecting" but then the truth is that they do qualify for hoarding :P In one of those hoarding inspired hauls I had gotten myself Chambor's Eye Tattoo Liner in ET01 i.e. Black... I never got around using it though as I was super content with my Maybelline Gel Liner... But this time when I went to Hyderabad, my sister asked me for my Maybelline Gel liner brush and well I was left with no choice but to turn to pencil liners... Thus I started using this Chambor Eye Tattoo Liner and well I am very impressed I must say.

What I really liked about this Chambor pencil is that it is waterline safe and smudge-proof :) Thus you have one product that takes care of your kajal as well as liner requirements :D Yayee.... The fact that the pencil looks all elegant with silver lettering on a black matte base and has a matte silver cap makes it all the more endearing... Yup I am a s*cke…

REVIEW & LOTD: MAC Fluidline in MacroViolet

Now that I have cleaned up my dresser and vanity I keep finding stuff that I had forgotten existed or I had bought and well good for me as I can keep piling on reviews after reviews on my blog :D hehehehe.. *evil grin* And of course you will have to bear with me cause I tend get into a rut where posts are concerned... Either I just keep doing LOTDs and Tutorials or just keep reviewing stuff :P LOL... I am as you all know in the review phase now :)

Continuing with MAC Fluidlines, I shall be reviewing another one in the shade MacroViolet. This one is a deep Purple and not as striking as Midnight Blues on the eyes but pretty none the same. I won't review it in detail here cause I just reviewed MAC Fluidlines already a couple of days back :) So I'll leave you with some pictures to drool over :P

REVIEW & LOTD: MAC Fluidline in Midnight Blues

With my current obsession of doing video tutorials I am already guilty of "ignoring" my blog :( and so you'll now see a slew of product reviews in order to make up for the past 4-5 days :P And what better way to start with a positive review of a product that is dear to many and a brand that is a favorite of all :) Oh God! I sound so poetic here! Siiigghhhhh.. Just cause I made a couple of videos and starred in them I feel like I am a movie star and have the right to be soo dramatic! Yeah right! :P

So anyways, going ahead with the review this was specially asked by Tapaswini and sweetie I am soo sorry I took more than a week to do it :( Mean person I am? Not so much I promise :P

MAC Midnight Blues is one of the products that I picked during the Pune Bloggers Meet and well have I been in love since or what! Midnight Blues is a part of the MAC Me Over collection and I find it to be very similar to MAC Siahi... Midnight Blues is a darkish blue shade with a slight hint of shi…

REVIEW, SWATCHES & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Turquoise Blue

With Faces Long Wear Pencils taking over from Colorbar I-Glide ones in the beauty blog-o-sphere, it is no surprise that I am out with reviewing another one of them and ladies and gentlemen, today's shade is "Turquoise Blue". Yes I LOVE blue eye liners!!! Why? Cause they are vibrant and flattering and somehow puts the focus on your eyes even when u wear a Red Lipstick (speaking out of experience)! :D

Just recently, I reviewed Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue and since "Turquoise Blue" also fares the same, I am not repeating the same review over again. I'll just post swatches so that you guys know how pretty it looks :)

REVIEW, SWATCH & LOTD: Bharat & Dorris Cream Liner in Shade 12

I have always stayed away from brown eye liners cause I never found them flattering on me. I generally preferdark shades like black (duh!), plum, navy blue etc. But when I set my eyes on this, I knew I had to buy it! :D

I had earlier reviewed Shade 14, which was a gorgeous purple here. Today's post is about Shade 12, which is a stunning brown with golden specs and shimmer. I will not really be reviewing it cause my review would turn out to be the same as shade 14, so I'll leave you guys to drool over checkout some swatches and EOTDs :)

Honestly? I like this shade better than the purple one ;)

Yes yes and yes with all my heart :) If you stay in either Mumbai or Pune, then you better grab one! If you got some relatives this side, then ask them to get it for you :P No denying the fact that it's a beautiful shade :)

Overall Rating:
9/10

So which one did you guys like better? 12 or 14?
