REVIEW & LOTD: Colorbar True Gloss in Vintage Rose

You know the time when you are looking for the perfect HOT Pink lipstick and really cannot find the exact shade that you are looking for? When whichever Pink lippy you pick up is either too pale or too shiny or is just not HOT enough, then ladies it is time to turn your head towards our very own Colorbar ;) I basically remembered to do a review of this particular product when one of my friends' Shamaila, asked me for a dupe for MAC Impassioned... No no this particular shade isn't a dupe for it, it's cousin Radiant Pink is closer but Vintage Rose is one shade that I recommend everyone whoever is looking for a Gorgeously HOT Pink shade :)

This is one shade that flatters all skin tones, it'll be your best buddy irrespective of your complexion ;) The pros that really set it apart from other glosses is that it is extremely pigmented, very opaque, no glitter or frost and seriously stays on for like ever! I apply it in the morning and it is with me till the end of day... aft…

Outfit Post: Subho Bijoya At Office

Subho Bijoya... Happy Dussehra :) Even though yesterday was this much celebrated festival of India, we did not have a holiday in office and to top it of, yesterday was the busiest day of my life! :( In order to keep us cheered up, our office people decided to declare the day as Traditional Day and well yup we were expected to dress up in our traditional best and come to work! ha ha ha.. I love the irony!

So anyways, I chose one of my favorite suits, which I guess I have already featured here on ISLM :) Its a raw silk green kurta with silk threaded embroidery and maroon churidaar and dupatta to go... Its a simple yet elegant suit and I love it for that :)

Makeup Break-up
1. MAC Paint Pot in Genuine Treasure -> All over lid
2. Colorbar Eye Shadow in Black Tied -> Crease
3. Colorbar Blush in Floral Fucsia
4. Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in Creme Cup 2

I wore the bengali symbol of suhaag i.e. Shaankha, Paula and Noa/Loha too :)

REVIEW & LOTD: Colorbar True Gloss Lip Gloss in Natural Tan

You know how every one keeps chanting the term MLBB? Well for those who still find it to be akin to Heiroglyph, MLBB stands for My Lips But Better. Honestly? I have always been jealous of those who have found their MLBB shades and needless to say I have been on the lookout for it myself... But all in vain. I did come close to find my ML (My Lips) shade in MAC Taupe, but the BB (But Better) part is something that has been eluding since like ever! So imagine my surprise when I finally got myself Colorbar's True Gloss Lip Gloss in Natural Tan and found it to be my MLBB :D Oh yeah baby, I am now a proud owner of an MLBB lip gloss :)

It was out of sheer accident that I bought this. I had got myself the bright pink shade in Vintage Rose and since it turned out be one rocking product, I ventured into Beauty Center to get me some more shades in this range... Yup I bought a couple of more shades in Pinks and Oranges too. But when I saw this shade, a tiny little voice from inside of me pes…

REVIEW: Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lip Color In "Flirtatious Pink"

In addition to the TBS fetish, I am also on a Colorbar roll and yup you will be getting to read a lot of Colorbar product reviews as well :) Today I bring to you ladies and gentlemen, Colorbar's Take Me As I Am Lip COlor in "Flirtatious Pink". Do not relegate it to being a "too bright a pink" and "it won't suit me" categories cause even though it is called flirtatious and we might mistake it for a bright hue of Pink, Colorbar has very thoughtfully made it a yellow pink that is sure to suit almost all Indian skintones :) Yay for that :D

Why did I buy it? I don't know... I was just loitering inside Beauty Center at Crawford Market when I realised that I needed to buy my Colorbar (Precision) Watreproof Liquid Eyeliner as I had already finished my third bottle when this little chubby thing caught my eye. The SA was more than happy to show me all the shades and very proudly said, it comes with its own sharpener. Believe it or not I was sold at tha…

REVIEW: Colorbar (Precision) Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner

We beauty bloggers are known (and sometimes expected) to keep trying out new products that keep getting launched in the market, but like everyone else we also have a selected few products that are our favorites and we keep going back to them :) Isn't it? Well for me Colorbar Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Black is one of them. I am on my fourth "bottle" and well I am yet to come across an eye liner that competes with it terms of price, pigmentation, staying power and waterproof-ness.

This eye liner has a decent pigmentation and though it may not be the "jettest" of black but it sure is black enough for me. The feature that makes it a champion for me is that it is really waterproof without even flaking... Another super awesome feature of this eye liner is that it stays out on my lids without rubbing/transferring even though my lids are super oily. Lakme intense artist transfers and even duraline mixed eye shadows don't hold up on my oily lids. But this Colo…

Its been a while I did haul posts and well it isn't really a surprise keeping in view the makeup ban I had imposed on myself :P But this time when I went to Mumbai, I knew I was going to let myself get tempted and well just HAUL :D And Haul I did :) I hauled at Beauty Center (Crawford Market) and TBS and I think it would be really honest on my part if I told you all that I am literally broke! But enjoying every moment of it ;) Ha ha!

What To Wear: To an IPL Match...

Yes I know you know that I went for the IPL match between Pune Warriors India and Royal Challengers Bangalore yesterday at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium :P Well to be honest I am not really an IPL fan, ok seriously I am not even a cricket fan. I know I know I am an Indian and cricket is suppossedly our "religion" but I am somehow more of a footbal fan... Sigghhhh it's my East Indian blood speaking again I guess :P

So anyways, even though I ain't much of a cricket fan I still went for the IPL match and well I must say the excitement at the stadium is sooo electrifying that you cannot help but be a part of it... Of course I have been to live matches before especially Indo-Pak ones and it's always the same excitement :) This time we got some really awesome seats, which was like the fourth row from the front, just behind the cheerleaders squad :D Hahahahaha, imagine the fun the "pati" and the guys had :P Ok, in all honesty the "phirangi" cheerle…

REVIEW & LOTD: Colorbar Cheek Illusion Blush in Floral Fucsia

They say earlier when make-up wasn't really a way of life, girls pinched their cheeks to bring that "blush" to their cheeks. But alas that never works for me. However hard I pinch myself I can never get that "virginal blush" on my face. But why should I lose out I ask myself and hence get myself a "blush" that gives me the just-pinched blush and better still, it stays on me for a much longer time :D So take that :P

Ladies and Gentlemen welcome the newest kid on my "blush block", Colorbar's Cheek Illusion Blush in Floral Fuscia :) Colorbar has changed the packaging of its blushes and also introduced a few new shades :) The packaging thus has become more striking and blingey :) Not that I am complaining ;) Floral Fuscia though looks quite muted like its older cousins Plum Brown and Just Earth, but on the cheeks it truly imparts a rosy blush that would suit especially warmer skintones :) While applying these blushes you will also notice th…

Mumbai Bloggers Meet and Haul :) [UPDATED WITH MORE PICS]

Hello everyone... Finally I could get some time and could start posting about my Mumbai trip and the Blogger's meet that we had in two installments :) Got home late last night, then went out for dinner with the "pati" and finally when we were home, I was so sapped out of energy that all I could was think of my bed and some sound sleep :) Oohhh looks like the Mumbai trip did tire me out :) So without much ado, let me just start with all the updates :)

Mumbai Blogger's Meet
The Mumbai Blogger's Meet was almost in two parts, one in North Mumbai and the other in South Mumbai... In the North Meet, Jinal, Jyoti, Preetha and I met up at Infinity Mall (Malad) where we shopped from Colorbar and Inglot (as was decided)... Like I told you guys before, we met up like we knew each other since eternity and as if I was back from boarding school in Pune and was meeting all my old friends (there goes my imagination!) :P It was so much fun and we were all at such ease with each ot…
