REVIEW: Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Passion Fruit Pink

Review of Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Passion Fruit Pink - Dupe of Mac Molten Mauve? Guest Post By: Himani Hey all beauty geeks!!! Has it ever happened to you that you ignore a certain thing for very long and then, it becomes one of your favorite items ever. Well, this happens to me a lot of times. I have an 'inertia' issue and do not like to make changes voluntarily. I stay happy in my own 'wonderland', till something becomes too big to be ignored. Lip glosses, nude lipsticks and now, coastal scents hot pots are some of the makeup biggies that I could not ignore and finally, succumbed to the whole idea.

LOTD: Coastal Scents & MAC Come Together In This Look...

LOTD: Coastal Scents Eyeshadows and MAC Ruby Woo ♥ Every now and then rather once in a while when I clean up my dresser, I come across lost and forgotten makeup that still have some life in them before they reach their expiry and the product that I invariably always forget only to be reminded of, during such tasks is the Coastal Scents 88 Original Palette... It was my first "proper" eye shadow palette that almost all beauty bloggers at that time talked about and so I must say the day it arrived was quite a Red Letter day in my life...

LOTD: Cult Favorite With A Gradient Purple Eye Makeup

A Bright Look with a Gradient Purple Eye Makeup and a Fuchsia Lipstick Pune today received it's first shower marking the approaching monsoons and even though I am not crazy about the rainy season, I cannot help but feel excited and elated. Why? Cause monsoons in Pune/Mumbai start in June and that marks that the passing by of one half of the year :) Also well cause June is my wedding anniversary month :) Yayee! Last year for our anniversary we had got a fabulous chocolate cake from Parita , who is a fabulous baker... This year though, Pari is in Singapore (boohoo) and we'll have to make do with a common store baked cake :( Even the pati looked crest fallen when I told him that the cake this year will not be baked by Parita... Ha ha ha! Pari, we love your baking babe!

Snippets From My Last Night's LOTD

Grey Smokey Eyes & Pink Lips! Last night after a nice, sumptuous dinner, the pati decided to work... On my laptop :/ Now with my laptop engaged, I had nothing to do but to sit at my vanity and experiment with stuff... Not meaning to do anything serious rather having a particular look in mind that I needed to try out before I did a final version of it for the blog, I got down to business...

Featuring (LOTD): Coastal Scents 88 Original Palette

Green Blue Eye Makeup I essentially started beauty blogging with a handful of products mostly from Oriflame. You see I was an Oriflame consultant that time. If you go back to my initial LOTD/EOTD posts, you'll observe that all my looks were created using Oriflame palettes that I would keep buying from the catalogues every month and I was blissfully happy :) And then I got myself the Coastal Scents 88 Original Palette and my world changed. I started considering myself to be in the big leagues... But well it was only in my head :P

EOTD: Red Smokey Eyes... Yes! RED! :P

Red lipsticks are all the rage now and with everyone looking for their perfect Red, it is now become a norm to see a lot of Red lipstick reviews and a lot of Red LOTD posts... Yes I am guilty of quite a few too ;) But last night I thought of trying out Red on my eyes... Something drastic you say? Not really, if you know how to tame Red on your eyes, you are then another bit closer to achieve the know-all of makeup ;) Now who wouldn't want to do that ye? *Yup the "ye" part was an Irish imitation... Am watching a lot of Sons of Anarchy these days ;)* Here is the look... Your views are really WELCOME! And I would love you guys to be brutally honest with me :D With Flash I paired it with Pink Blush and Nude Lips :) And this is what I used to create this look... Coastal Scents 88 original palette... Oh btw if you guys actually like the look, then let me know I'll pakka se do a tutorial on it! :)

Oh with so many eye makeup contests going on, I feel like I am on a "colorful" eye makeup marathon and well last night I suddenly started getting the feeling that I am running out of eye shadows :( And then inspiration struck me and I whipped out my Coastal Scents 88 Original Palette and the variety of colors it offers :) Woohoo I was in "color heaven" :D I have created the following look using the Coastal Scents palette and I am submitting it for Bhumika i.e. NewLove's Electric Eye Makeup contest. LOTD & TUTORIAL: Fun and Flirty Eyes with Coastal Scents Original :)

Though my guy runs a software firm, he doesn't really believe in IT's 5 days a week working policy. So every Saturday sees me sleeping in late while the guy rushes to office early morning. And so our Saturday lunch rituals are generally in his office and this gives me an opportunity to doll up and then meet him for lunch :) hehehe... So today I took this blue flared skirt of mine with some white embroidery and a Red top :) And since the look was all girlie, fun and summery I took out my Coastal Scents Original palette for its plethora of colors and created this EOTD :) Hope you guys like it! LOTD & Tutorial: Eye Make-up to Match a Grey Dress

A few days back I did a post about matching or rather complementing our makeup with our outfit. Well in continuation to that post today I plan on doing an EOTD to match a grey dress. Of course if it would have been a look for a night out, I would have gone for a heavy smoky look but as I was interested in doing a look for a daytime event, I settled for a shimmery green look with a slight smoky effect to it. It looks something like this: Soft Green-Grey Smoky Eye The products I have used for this look are as follows: 1. NYX Eye shadow base 2. MAC Peacocky Collection Eye shadow in EGO 3. Coastal Scents 88 Original Eye shadow palette 4. Maybelline Gel Eyeliner 5. Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara 6. Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in "Coral Crush" The way to do it: 1. I first primed my eyes with the NYX eye shadow base. 2. Then I dabbed MAC eye shadow in EGO in a dab dab motion with a flat eye shadow brush MAC Peacocky Collection: Eye shadow called EG

LOTD & Tutorial: Soft Peach and Pink Smokey Look

Yoohoo.. It's been so long since I did a tutorial and well to think about it, there was a time when I so enjoyed putting up my random LOTDs and titorials. But now being wrapped up with product reviews (well yes I have been a hoarder!) I totally forgot about doing some of my favorite tutes :) Just yesterday someone told me how she hated when beauty bloggers flaunted their superbly done makeups and EOTDs and LOTDs but not give an insight on how to chieve them. Ahem! Well needless to say I was left wondering if she was talking about me! No! I am not claiming that I do just "perfect" make-up but then you guys do get the drift! LOL! So now I came up with this ridiculously easy LOTD and I am so hoping that you guys try it out and share your results with me. I will be deeply honored :) Honestly! Here's a sneak peek at what we are gonna be achieving by the end of this tutorial. It's a soft peach and crimson smokey look: The Look :) I wanted
