A Tiny Haul Post

So I have this cocktail party to attend at the end of this week and I am grappling to figure out what I should wear... I have zeroed onto a black skirt I own that I imagine wearing with an Emerald green silk shirt/top... I say "imagine" because I don't yet own the said shirt and hence on Christmas Day I went shopping looking for it... The way I shop is that I first make up my mind about what I need and then go looking into stores for that particular item. Of course this generally always fails because hey the item exists only in my head and hence I always end up getting things that I don't need and not buy something that I actually need...

That's exactly what happened day before yesterday and I ended up with no clothes but a tiny makeup/skincare haul... Some of these products are new for me and some have been a personal favorite since a while now...

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter - INR 1295

Review Link

This is an old favorite and is hands-down my favorite product to remove my makeup as well to simply cleanse my face. It is non-drying and I love how it smells :)

The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture Serum - INR 1295

I am going to try it for the first time and hence do stay tuned for reviews. I have been a fan of TBS Vitamic C Face Serum but this time I went in for the Vitamin E variant solely because it was way cheaper :P

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick in Fuchsia Fame - INR 999

When I saw this I was intrigued because it not only looked cute but also pretty novel. But then I turned my back towards it because I assumed it to be sticky and tacky and I knew that is one texture that I don't like on my face at all. However, the SA pestered me to swatch it and I realized that I was wrong! It blended out into a powdery and an almost velvety texture and I instantly knew that I had to have it :)

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Matte Lip Pen in She's So Matte - INR 799

Ugghhh the packaging is so pretty and the nude pink shade is simply to die for. Enough said!

The Body Shop Shine Lip Liquid in Apple Taffy 006 - INR 750

I love a glossy nude lip gloss that is translucent. It makes me feel as if I look ethereal... A girl can dream can't she? :)

The Body Shop Eye Definer Crayon Khol in Green - INR 695

I don't know why I brought this baby home... I liked the green and I was out of green kohls (can you believe it?) and so it found its way into my shopping basket :)

Do you buy products on a whim?
What are the latest products that you bought that you didn't really need? :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
