My Envy Box - January 2017

This post is past long due... I thought of skipping writing about this month's My Envy Box but the Jan 2017 box is so fabulous that I felt like I would be cheating if I did not share it with you all... This statement alone should be enough to tell you all that I downright LOVED the My Envy Box January 2017 edition ^_^

Let me start with the box itself... It is a black coloured box with a picture of a vinyl record on top and dots made of bright colors. The whole ensemble reminds me of fabulous parties, the scintillating EDM beats, getting a little high on my favourite cocktail and the cutie at the bar giving me subtle hints that he is interested... You get the drift, don't you :)

The box this month contains 5 products, 4 of which are full and 1 sample size set of 5 fragrances. Needless to say this is probably my favourite Envy Box till now...

My Envy Box - January 2017

1. Cheryl's Cosmeceuticals O2C2 Radiance Lotion

The moment I opened my box, this caught my eye first and when I read that it gives instantly radiant skin, I couldn't control my excitement... However, sadly enough it is not meant for dry skin and hence it did not work for me... Oily skinned beauties out there, you might want to give this a shot though :)
Price: INR 1050/- for 50 ml

2. Hedonista Dance in the Moonlight Hair Perfume

Hair perfumes are my thing... I love it when I flick my hair and I am met with a whiff of delicious fragrance and hence this Hedonista hair perfume is something that had me extra happy about this month's My Envy Box :)
The fragrance is a mellowed mixture of Chamomile, Sage, Geranium, Lemon and Lavender, an interesting mix isn't it? The smell is unique and it takes a little time to get used to... However, over time you end up genuinely loving it...
Even though the product contains alcohol, it didn't feel drying on my hair. It contains NO parabens, sulphates, silicones, petroleum products, phthalates or Formaldehyde!
Price: INR 650/- for 50 ml

3. Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss

I must confess that before this box I had never tried out an Essence product. Essence products are not just extremely pocket friendly but apparently also deliver and hence when I saw the box this month contained not 1 but 2 Essence products I was over the moon.
The lipgloss per se is pretty glossy, not tacky and gorgeously sheer... It does have an artificial fragrance and quality wise its pretty basic. However, for the price that it comes at, its pretty good!
Price: INR 229/- for 5 ml

4. Essence Plump No Clump Volume Mascara

Another Essence product, this one I did not like too much. It does add volume however it does not hold the curl and ends up making your lashes heavy which results in them look droopy.
Price: INR 349/- for 10 ml

5. Bombay Perfumery Fragrances for Women

Gosh! This is the yummiest product in the box. Tiny glass vials of 5 different fragrances that smell uniquely beautiful, I am sold for sure...
The 5 fragrances that I received are Chai Musk, Madurai Talkies, 1020, Seven Islands and Moire. Out of these my favourite is 1020 closely followed by Chai Musk...
I think I'll be ordering a full size of 1020 soon :)

Which product excites you the most?

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
