My Envy Box - November 2016

Since the past month or so I have been noticing my hair and skin losing their vitality and lustre. My skin's been behaving weirdly such that I have started noticing pigmentation, patchiness and not at all even. Additionally, I did an experiment with my a new hair product and it boomeranged (details in the next post) and as a result I was left with super damaged, brittle looking hair that I had to cut short. Anyways, due to all the issues with my skin and hair I was thinking about going back to the basics and turn towards natural products...

And then the November issue of My Envy Box happened. The keyword for this month's Box is Handmade... The claim is that all products are natural and handmade... Let's go through them one by one...

1. The Green Meadow Lip Butter

With Winters almost here, it I guess makes sense for Beauty Box subscriptions to throw in a lip balm or a butter and am I glad they did :) I was kinda getting tired of my Maybellines and Niveas, they all just started seeming the same... The Green Meadow Lip Butter is very hard to touch, however when you rub your finger on it a couple of times, it warms up a little and hence softens. On the lips it feels great, it doesn't feel heavy at all, is not waxy and the best of all it isn't sticky either...
The lips feel beautifully moisturised.
Price: INR 400

2. Fuchsia Verve Face Mask

I tried this today and I think I like it... Its main ingredients are Kiwi and Asparagus among others. It looks like a minty green and has an artificial fragrance that gave me a little headache... Texture wise its thick but it dries fast when you apply it on your face. After I washed it off I noticed that my complexion immediately looked brighter and I felt clean. I am glad I received full sized product in the box :)
Price: INR 450

3. Neemli Naturals Shea Butter Body Polish

I am yet to try it out and honestly I don't really have very high hopes from it cause I have never really understood the whole "hoo-has" behind body polishes. However, I shall try them out and update you all about it :)
Price: INR 475

4. Aerth Hair Protein Pack

This is perhaps the product that I am most excited about and I plan to give it a shot tomorrow. It comes in powder form and according to directions you got to either mix it with either curd or milk or eggs and apple it on your hair. Sounds interesting doesn't it? I hope it works for me and does something good for my hair. My hair is need of some serious TLC.
Price: INR 275

5. Vert Lip Scrub

Another product that I feel are overrated are lip scrubs. However, this one kind of swayed me a little in their direction. Its a sugar scrub with a cocoa flavour. Texture wise its grainy and oily and a bit of the oiliness remains even after you wash it off with water, which is a great thing in the Winters.
I accidentally got a bit of it in my mouth and it tastes sweet.
Price: INR 450

Have you received your My Envy Box yet? Which product are you the most excited about?

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
