REVIEW: Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick in Aria

It's so good to be back!
I had been MIA since a couple for a couple of weeks and I have truly missed blogging :)
So the scene right now looks like this...
It's 10:30 pm, I am at my desk at work with a colleague (its called Pair-Programming), we have Roses by The Chainsmokers playing on the laptop speakers (the volume's low), we have just finished doing some changes to the code and are waiting for it to build successfully. If it does then we get to go home but if it doesn't then we are probably stuck here for another hour...
Its been like this since the past 3 weeks now and I am almost at the verge of saturation and so I decided to take a tiny little break from the monotony and get down to blogging... And here I am writing this post on my work laptop. The pictures are on my personal laptop and hence this post cannot go live before probably 1:00 am tonight!
*sighs*

Today I am going to review a Liquid Lipstick that I have been loving to the core. Not just me and everyone of you all who follow me on Instagram always ask me about the shade whenever I put up a picture wearing it... Ladies and gentlemen please put your hands together for Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick in the shade Aria!

Price of Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick

It costs INR 1800/-

Availability:
I bought mine from Sephora, Pune

Liquid lipsticks have been taking the beauty world by storm lately, so much so that all brands high and low have come up with their own versions of liquid lipsticks in umpteen finishes, textures and shades... Needless to say I have been gone through liquid lipsticks like nobody's business but honestly there are only a few worth writing about and Stila All Day Lipsticks top the list :)

The shade Aria is a gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous "Purply-Pink" that is more Pink than Purple... It instantly brightens up my complexion and makes my skin look flawless too... Yes, a color can do that :) I was looking for a more Red-Pink but since I couldn't find a shade like that I picked up Aria!

Texture wise Stila All Day Liquid Lipsticks are the bomb! They are very thin but not watery and hence when you apply a layer of the lip color it feels like you have nothing on your lips. They are super light weight and not at all drying! However, the color is opaque and even one thin coat of the color is enough to cover even pigmented lips. One thing to note is that if you layer on too many cats of the lipstick it might start cracking after a while. But 2 coats should be perfect!

It comes in a glass tube with golden lettering and a doe-foot applicator that is precise and is great for accurate application even on thinner lips.

The staying power of the liquid lipstick is simply unreal. It stays on mr for more that 7 jours with meals and a number of cups of coffee... It simply refuses to budge. It is also waterproof and can only be removed with either a makeup remover or a cleansing butter/oil.

Recommendation:
I would highly recommend everyone to try this range and this shade in particular. It's worth every penny and the shade Aria is a universally flattering kind of color.

Overall Rating:
10/10

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
