REVIEW: NYX Cosmetics Full Throttle Lipstick in Trickster

We just finished watching "Eye in the Sky" and I have numbed to say the least. To be met with a requirement to have to decide between a sensitive collateral damage and a risk of being responsible for losing hundreds of lives is something that I don't ever want to be a part of. And the movie is just about that. I recommend watching it if you haven;t already and if you have then do share your thoughts with me! I'd love to hear the myriads of perspectives that readers of ISLM generally have!

Anyway, coming to the issue at hand - my obsession with a certain Purple lipstick...
I have been bombarding Instagram (@isimplylovemakeup) with pictures of me wearing this certain Purple Lipstick and I am in love :) Please put your hands together for NYX Cosmetics Full Throttle Lipstick in Trickster!

Price of NYX Full Throttle Lipstick

It costs INR 600/-

Let's talk about the shade first. I am not really a Purple Lipstick person. Give me Reds or Pinks and I am sold for life. Where Purples are concerned I have always found them unflattering for my skin tone, however I bought the shade Trickster online because that was the only shade left in stock from the Full Throttle range and boy am I glad :)
Its everything I have ever wanted in a lipstick shade. It's unique, its flattering and very surprisingly would look beautiful on almost any kind of skin tone, it is a perfect blend of Pink and Purple :)

Texture wise NYX Cosmetics Full throttle Lipsticks are fabulous. They are very light-weight, almost like a mousse and yet are matte and very long staying. They are not drying at all and it is my go to lipstick when I am out on a dinner date where I am expected to gulp down glasses of Long Island Iced Tea one after another and then go for a hearty meal cause you know the lips does not budge!

I bought the lips from

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :) Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either. This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids. Image of the Product Faces Long Wear Eye Pencil in Navy Blue Swatches Swatch: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue LOTD Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :) Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;) Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal
