My Envy Box - August 2016

So the last week for me was the bomb where the blog is concerned or rather my Social Media channels are concerned especially Instagram. I crossed 6k followers and a picture of mine crossed 500 likes while quite a number of them crossed the 100 likes mark... Maybe small things for many of you but for me it was as exciting as the day I actually started liking alcohol (initially it was just peer pressure :P)

In other news, My Envy Box, August 2016 edition is here and it is interesting to say the least. This month's box contains only 4 products but they promise to be anything but boring. Out of the 4, 3 are skincare products and 1 is a nail polish.
In all honesty, I really have very high hopes from this month's My Envy Box. Fingers crossed that it delivers...

1. Hedonista Clear Moisturiser

Starting with the product that was not made for me, the Hedonista Clear Moisturiser is formulated for those with Oily skin and it claims that it is quick absorbing, lightweight and great for the humid weather. I tried it a couple of times and I do vouch for its hydrating qualities, however since I have dry skin I needed a little moisturiser over it. But I feel that it will be great for beauties that are on the oilier side.
Price: INR 525/- for 50 ml

2. O3+ Eye Circle Cream

This is one product I really have a lot of hopes from plus I am sucker for eye creams. I have been using it since the past couple of days and I love how silky its texture is and how quickly it gets absorbed into the skin. However, what worries me most is the fact that it claims to not only fade dar k circles but also lifts, firms and reduces puffiness around the eyes. Products that claim to do everything make me nervous.
Hence, lets wait and see how the product turns out to be.
Price: INR 385/- for 15 gms

3. Stay Quirky Nail Polish

The only beauty product in the box, Stay Quirky Nail Polish comes in a cute cylindrical bottle and has an array of colors to choose from. The shade I received is a pale golden, which is versatile and something of an everyday shade. I haven't used it yet but I shall keep you guys updated.
Price: INR 250/- to 300/- for 8 ml

4. Omorfee Lip Lightening Salve

Now this is hands down the most interesting product in the box. Omorfee Lip Lightening Salve is as the name suggests a lip salve that promises to lighten pigmented lips. I have pigmented lips because of which I am not able to wear a lot sheer lip products and hence I am pinning my hope on this baby... I used it for the first time today and it feels very moisturising but also very light. It has a peculiar fragrance that isn;t something I can't pin easily but it does seem familiar. Loaded with the goodness of Cocoa Butter, Sweet Almond Oil and Watermelon extracts it is something I plan to use everyday.
Price: INR 549/- for 10 gms

Have you received your My Envy Box this month? Which is your favourite product of the lot?

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
