VIDEO & LOTD: Wearable Summer Bronze Makeup Look

VIDEO & LOTD: Wearable Summer Bronze Makeup Look

It is 20 minutes past midnight, I am watching Master Chef Australia while writing this post and I am craving some blueberry cheesecake... Like right now! My cravings during "that time of the month" is so intense that how much ever self restraint I try to practice, I fail at it miserably... I generally eat clean and try to eat healthy but a week before my periods are due I start craving everything unhealthy, mainly sweets and carbs... Sighhhhhh...

Probably why I can never be skinny and I am forced to embrace my "curves"...

In other news, its been raining incessantly since the past few weeks here and I am truly starting to miss the sun... It's gotten pretty gloomy and I wish it were Summers again... Hence, I decided to do a summery bronzed makeup look with shades of Orange, Golden and well Bronze...
This time I also did a video tutorial and I truly hope that you find it helpful :)

Makeup Breakup
1. I have tried to go for a chiseled look that looks contoured, naturally so. For this I have used a foundation that is a shade darker than my skin tone and a concealer that is a shade lighter.
2. For the eyes I went with bright pops of color with Orange and Golden Yellow. I have not used any kohl or a black liner. Instead I went with a smudged brown liner on the lower lash line and a flesh toned liner in my waterline.
3. Because I used a lot of brights on my eyes, I have kept the rest of the face neutral.

Makeup Products Used:
1. Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Powerless Foundation
2. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
3. NYX Hydra Touch Powder Foundation
4. Maybelline Eye Brow Pencil
5. NIVEA Refreshing Toner
6. Benefit Cosmetics Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer
7. MAC Texture Eyeshadow
8. Ingot Eyeshadow AMC51
9. MAC Goldmine Eyeshadow
10. MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow
11. Studiowest Eyeliner in Brown
12. Maybelline Hyper Curl Mascara
13. Kiko Milano Luxurious Lashes Mascara
14. NYX Blush in Bronze
15. Lame Enrich Matte Lipstick - BM11
16. Revlon Cream Gloss - I Got The Power

I hope you like the look as much as I did :)

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

10 Best Loose Powders Available in India

10 Best Loose Powders Available in IndiaISLM Writer: Sanchita

Summer is going to knock on the door soon and we, who are blessed (or cursed) with oily skin, will crawl back to our powders and/or matte foundations to keep the skin oil-free as far as possible. Being oily skinned, I have always found my way back to loose powders even though their packaging is slightly messy. This is because loose or translucent powders are more finely milled than the compact versions and hence gives you an even look rather than a made-up cakey one. Compact has the tendency to look rough under eyes or around the mouth whereas loose powders work excellently. No wonder, oily skin stays matte for longer duration than it does with the compact ones. Mostly, it gives sheer to buildable coverage and sits on the skin like a natural finish look.
