Neutral Glamorous Makeup Look

Neutral Glamorous Makeup Look

The new season of The House of Cards is just out and the pati and I decided to skip our regular Sunday Lunch Date tomorrow and watch the whole season back to back in bed... Hmmmm... Sounds like the perfect rainy Sunday afternoon, right? ^_^

Fingers crossed that it goes as planned :)

You know earlier I used to look forward to the weekends because that's when I'd insist that we go out, try out new places to eat, shop and you know the drill... I would spend my Saturdays catching up with friends, shopping, visit the beauty salon and you know being a girl... My Sundays would be spent with the pati trying out new places to lunch and then probably catch a movie and just be a couple...
Lately however, I prefer to stay in, clean my house, spend time with the pati just watching TV, baking new dishes and clicking pictures for my blog...
I wonder what brought about this change... I am probably maturing finally... Its the age ;)

Not surprisingly another thing that's changes recently is the fact that I am getting attracted to neutrals a lot where makeup is concerned and I have been trying things out with neutral shades of eye makeup and lipstick and the like...
Today's makeup is also on the neutral side with just a little hint of "smoke" to elevate the look and make it more fancy and well glamorous...

So here's look and I hope you guys like it :)

Makeup Products Used
1. Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation
2. Maybelline Brow Pencil
3. Lakme Absolute Blusher in Day Sheer
4. Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette
5. Kiko Milano Luxurious Lashes Extra Volume Mascara
6. Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Ingenue
7. The Body Shop Gel Pen Eyeliner

I haven't used a face powder to set my foundation because I have noticed that the Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse foundation does not need to be set and additionally I like the dewy finish better :)
Additionally, I haven't used any bright colors in my makeup look here not even a bright blush. Instead I went with a bronze-ey blush and finished my look with a brown, glossy lip...

I hope you guys like my look as much as I did...

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

10 Best Loose Powders Available in India

10 Best Loose Powders Available in IndiaISLM Writer: Sanchita

Summer is going to knock on the door soon and we, who are blessed (or cursed) with oily skin, will crawl back to our powders and/or matte foundations to keep the skin oil-free as far as possible. Being oily skinned, I have always found my way back to loose powders even though their packaging is slightly messy. This is because loose or translucent powders are more finely milled than the compact versions and hence gives you an even look rather than a made-up cakey one. Compact has the tendency to look rough under eyes or around the mouth whereas loose powders work excellently. No wonder, oily skin stays matte for longer duration than it does with the compact ones. Mostly, it gives sheer to buildable coverage and sits on the skin like a natural finish look.
