REVIEW: Kiko Milano Luxurious Lashes Extra Volume Brush Mascara

Review of Kiko Milano Luxurious Lashes Extra Volume Brush Mascara

So today I was browsing a furniture website for you know some furniture... I need a wooden trunk in my life for no reason at all and I need a full length mirror with a stand and wooden frame for self obsession purposes. See? I can easily justify the wants in my life...

Of course the pati doesn't see it that way and hence I do all my purchases without telling him and he is happy to be oblivious to all the new things I keep piling up at home... Every couple has an unspoken understanding about some things and buying home decor knick-knacks and furniture while playing hide and seek with each other is our thing :P

That and my buying makeup...
I either buy makeup when he's not around or tell him that I received a certain product from the PR if he ever questions me on something "different" about my dresser...
*hides her face*

So the other day when he saw a tray full of my Kiko Milano makeup products he asked me if I had received a PR package... I shamelessly told him that I did...
I don't think he believes me...

For those of you all who didn't follow, my Kiko Milano makeup stash is living proof of the fact that I bought some makeup during my Italy trip :P

Coming to today's post, it is a review of the Kiko Milano Luxurious Lashes Extra Volume Brush Mascara that I am pretty much in love with. I probably say this in every of my mascara reviews but I will still say it again and please do hear me out when I say that I have negligible eye lashes and anything that gives them life and makes them stand a little out becomes an instant hit with me... The Kiko Milano Luxurious Lashes Mascara does all that and a tad little more...

Price of Kiko Milano Luxurious Lashes Mascara

It costs Euro 3.90 (INR 305/- approx)

As far as the prices go, Kiko Milano products are extremely affordable and this mascara at INR 305 is simply unbelievable.
The packaging of the mascara is simply beautiful and the ivory and gold combination goes with the "luxurious" theme of the mascara. It comes with a long applicator wand and the brush is medium thick with just a hint of a curve. All in all it gives a very convenient application experience and its pretty difficult to go wrong with it.

Coming to the performance, the mascara works pretty well, it thickens and separates out my lashes and even though it is supposed to be a volumizing mascara, it gives length to my lashes more than volume. Since its texture is a little gooey and not runny and hence it is very easy to get your lashes in a clump... It is not very easy to work with in the beginning but once you get the hang of it, you start to appreciate it...

Its a pretty decent mascara for the price it comes for and hence I even bought a backup of it :)

Overall Rating:

  1. Wow ! This looks like a great mascara for 305 bucks !! What a great steal. Getting a back up was a good idea.

  2. We have a Kiko store in NYC, so this should be easy for me to grab. Yay!

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
