Top 5 Must Buy Sephora India Products

Top 5 Must Buy Sephora India Products

I remember when Sephora first opened shop in India in 2013... It was a grand opening in New Delhi and I felt dejected as ever... I wanted a Sephora in my city too and miraculously my prayers were heard. The second Sephora India store opened in Pune in Jan 2015 and since then I have been slowly but steadily trying their products out...

The selection at Sephora is vast and just entering the store can overwhelm you to no extent... The first few times I visited the store, I know I was lost, I didn't know where all to look, I didn't know what to try and most importantly I didn't know what to buy. So much so, my first Sephora haul was a splurge and I ended up blowing off half my paycheck... And not everything I bought turned out good... Some things went horribly wrong but again I genuinely found some real treasures...
So now, with 4 cities boasting of a Sephora store namely New Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore, I thought it was the perfect time to share with you all these treasures and my Top 5 Must Buys from Sephora India.

Do note that these products are specific to Sephora India, cause the Sephoras in other countries house many more brands and well the Top 5 could very well differ :)
Also do note that I will not be listing out my Top 5 products from each branch at Sephora (like I know many blogs have done in the past), rather I will be listing my 5 Absolute Favourite products that you can get your hands on too at any Sephora in India...

Top 5 Must Buy Sephora India Products

1. Sephora 10 Hr Wear Perfection Foundation

This is by far the best medium coverage foundation I have used so far. It gives great coverage, blends in seamlessly especially with a makeup sponge, adapts itself to ones skin tone and is super long stay. I had bought this foundation on a whim and boy am I glad that I did :)
It comes with a pump dispenser and in a glass bottle (both are my favourites in terms of foundation packaging) and is truly great.
It retails at INR 1320/- and it is worth every penny.

2. Benefit Cosmetics They're Real Push Up Eyeliner

Now this is a very very controversial eyeliner, let me warn you... People across the globe have either loved it or hated... No one's ever said "Yeah, its an ok eyeliner" or "I have no feelings for it, its just another eye liner" and that must be enough to tell you all that it is special. Of course, if is speciality actually worked for you or not is a personal thing but it is special no doubt...

I for one, love love love this eyeliner. I love the way it apples, its jet blackness and the way it stays put on my oily lids all through the day... It is a little on the expensive side no doubt but well we are talking Benefit Cosmetics now aren't we?
It retails at INR 1950/- and I need to go purchase my third pen...

3. Burt's Bees Hand Salve

Now every blog that has a post on Sephora recommendations would rave about the Burt's Bees Lip Balms but no where have I seen them talk about the Hand Salve. Literally... Nowhere... And I wonder why, cause the lip balms are sure fine but the hand salve is something that is genuinely a formula with which the people at Burt's Bees have hit a jackpot...

I have dry hands, heck I have dry skin but my hands especially get very dry during the day. So much so that I have to apply a hand cream every time I wash hands even if it is just with water and there is no soap involved... I have tried lots of hand creams including the ones at The Body Shop but this Burt's Bees Hand Salve is simply something... It is also great for dry elbows and cracked heels but since it is a little on the expensive side I use them only for my hands...
I have this in 2 sizes, one the normal sized tin of 85 gms (read big) that I keep on my dresser and the other in a travel size that I keep on my desk at work. I cannot live without it!
It retails at INR 1500/-

4. Sephora EDT Travel Sized Sprays

These are generally kept near the billing counter and come in various fragrances from Vanilla to Coffee, Green Tea to Cotton Flower, Peony to Strawberry, you get the drift :) My favourite without a doubt is the Green Tea variant but I am also thinking of purchasing the Cotton Flower and the Peony ones...
They come in a glass packaging with spray nozzles and are super convenient to carry in your purse or handbag. The lasting power is not too great and is probably just over 2 hours but the convenience and the yummy quality of the fragrances is what makes it on of my top buys.
They retail for INR 350/-

5. Benefit Cosmetics Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer

Telling you all that I love this product would be an understatement because I literally adore it. It is hands-down the best eyeshadow primer made by man. It enhances the eyeshadow shades no doubt but is also successfully keeps an eyeshadow stay put on oily lids for the whole freaking day!
It is a miracle product and I sometimes wonder how I actually lived without it before Sephora came to India.

It comes in two shades Light and Deep and needless to say Indian skin tones suit the medium/deep shade. It evens out the eyelid area, enhances the eyeshadow shades and prevent creasing and smudging of eyeshadows as well as eyeliners. I really couldn't ask for anything more from an eye primer.
It retails at a whopping INR 2090/- but worth every rupee.

So what are your favourite Sephora India products?

  1. Even I felt the same way when I stepped into the newly opened Sephora Bangalore store! I wish this post was up before that! I got only the Sephora EDP in some other variant! Will check out other products next time :)

My recent post: Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Review, Details, How To Use !!

    1. First off, a huge congratulations on getting a Sephora in your city :)
So what all did you buy? And which variant of the EDP did you pick up?

  2. Sephora is going to open in Chennai soon. Can't wait. Lots of products to try out.

  3. This is great I'll pick up these in my visit to Sephora :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
