My Envy Box - April 2016

My Envy Box - April 2016

Well hello ladies... I promised you guys today morning on Snapchat that I would be unboxing My Envy Box today and I also gave you a clue about my favourite product in the box... So here I am sharing the contents of My Envy Box with you all and looking forward to you guys sharing what you all received in this month's Envy Boxes :)

The April My Envy Box is interesting... It has a mix of all kinds of products, from skincare to makeup to haircare to fragrances... There is something for everyone and hence I bet no one this month has been left disappointed :)
Also, after last month's packaging with a riot of colors on the box, the April My Envy Box is a plain, soothing baby pink with golden lettering... It is both pretty and classy... My Envy Box does make the best packaging!

It's time now I showed you guys what's inside...
So let's get started!

1. BBlunt Spotlight Hair Polish

BBlunt seems to have a major tie-up with My Envy Box and hence we have been receiving full sized

BBlunt products since the past two months. This month its the Spotlight Hair Polish, which actually is a hair spray that promises to give your hair instant shine. However, t doesn't work on my hair in the sense that I see no shine. That said, the product does act as an anti-frizz and makes my hair look as well as fell smooth.
Price: INR 535/- for 150 ml

2. Rene Futerer Paris Carthage Hair Mask for Dry Hair

Another haircare product and a fabulous one at that. Rene Futerer is a high-end French brand and is known for its haircare products the world over. Rene Futerer Shampoo and Conditioner have been reviewed on ISLM earlier and we highly recommend it.

Coming back to the hair mask, I haven't used it yet but I have very high hopes from it and I look forward to using it soon :)

3. Roberto Cavalli - Paradiso Azzurro

This is the latest fragrance from Roberto Cavalli and is a follow-up to the perfume Paradiso launched in 2015. Paradiso Azzurro is largely floral but has an underlying citrusy freshness as well. It is not a sweet fragrance and rather is a fresh and a sensual aura around it.

I have a very specific taste in perfumes and not every fragrance catches my fancy but this one is something I plan to buy for myself for sure...
Price: INR 4900/- for 50 ml.

4. O3+ Milk Scrub

I snap chatted today morning that the O3+ Milk Scrub is my favourite product in this month's My Envy Box and it indeed is! O3+ is a fabulous professional skincare brand and I first came across it at the salon where I get my facials done. It's an expensive but a very effective facial and because of it I have always been impressed with O3+ products. Hence, when I received this deluxe sized sample of the Milk Scrub I used it immediately...
It is awesome!

Texture wise it feels a little tight, it is not creamy or runny but rather pretty thick and the scrub particles are mild. A little product goes a long way and after applying it my face genuinely feels extremely clean, surprisingly not dry and there is an instant glow visible. I will for sure get the full sized product of the O3+ Milk Scrub!
Price: INR 385/- for 50 gms.

5. Fran Wilson Mood Matcher Lipstick

Now this is probably the most interesting product in the box, like literally... It is a lipstick that supposedly changes color according to your mood. The lipstick I received is a scary blue coloured stick but when I apply it, it turns purplish pink on my lips. These lipsticks apparently change color based on the mood as well as the skin tone and texture of the wearer and hence this blue stick may look purplish one me but look very very pink on you! Its magical that way...

But what really sets this hippie apart is its wear-time... It is the longest staying lipstick I have ever worn and it is truly eat-proof, drink-proof and kiss-proof... I did test it! And the best part of it all is that it feels really light on the lips, almost like you're not wearing anything at all! Literally...
Price: INR 590/-

So what did you get in your My Envy Box? Which was your favourite?

  1. Even I am loving the scrub. I have never tried O3+ before because they only sent the 'whitening' products :(
    But, the scrub is great.

  2. I wanted blue fan wilson but i got orange which i already have...otherwise i loved my envy box this month and the box is uberly cute..

  3. Seems like a great batch of products :) Unfortunately, O3+ scrub does not suit my skin *sigh* very few products do suit my horribly sensitive skin :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
