REVIEW: NIVEA Body Lotions - All Variants
Nivea never fails to bring up fond childhood memories for me... My sister, my mum and I all three of us swear by NIVEA where body lotions and face creams are concerned... They are not just reasonably priced but they are genuinely quality products and do wonders for your skin. In the same vein I am going to be reviewing 4 variants of Nivea Body Lotion and I am sure you will find one of them will surely suit your needs.
I have very dry skin, my facial skin is dry while the skin on my body is very dry and hence I was pleasantly surprised to receive a hamper from Nivea with body lotions that addressed dry skin issues. The details are as follows:
- Nivea Nourishing Lotion Body Milk - Very Dry Skin
- Nivea Oil in Lotion Cocoa Nourish - Very Dry Skin
- Nivea Body Lotion Smooth Milk - Dry Skin
- Nivea Extra Whitening Cell Repair & UV Protect - All Skin Types
Nivea Nourishing Lotion Body Lotion
The formula for this body lotion contains Almond Oil which makes it an obvious choice for people with very dry skin. The goodness of Almond not only alleviates dryness, it also contains Vitamin E which makes one's skin soft and supple.
Price: INR 299 for 400 ml
Surprisingly, the texture of the body lotion is not as creamy or heavy as I expected it to be. It is on the other hand very milky and runny. This makes it get absorbed into the skin really fast and hence you are not left with any stickiness.
Personally, I like it for Summers more than Winters cause it keeps my skin hydrated for around 4 hours and then my skin starts feeling a little dry again. This makes me believe that people with Normal Skin might also like it :)
Nivea Oil in Lotion Cocoa Nourish
This is my most favourite variant of the lot because perhaps it genuinely is creamy and great for very dry skin :) The Oil in Lotion contains the goodness of Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter, where the Coconut oil nourishes the skin while the Cocoa Butter not just moisturises, it also imparts a yummy fragrance to the product.
Price: INR 330 for 400 ml
Texture wise it is thicker and creamier than Nivea Nourishing Lotion Body Milk and my skin stays happily hydrated for over 8 hours in an AC environment :) It does not get absorbed quickly into the skin and yes it sits for a little while before you feel the stickiness disappear. Needless to say I love Nivea Oil in Lotion Cocoa Nourish and it truly is an amazing body lotion for very dry skin.
Nivea Body Lotion Smooth Milk
I love the color of the packaging :) The violet and purple combination is really attractive. The Nivea Body Lotion Smooth Milk contains the goodness of Shea Butter another great product for your skin. Texture wise however, the smooth milk is not as heavy or creamy and I find it perfect for the Summers.
Price: INR 210/- for 200 ml
It has a very pleasant fragrance, a nutty floral fragrance that smells pretty delicious. If you have very dry skin you might get the urge to reapply it after every 3 to 4 hours, however if you have dry to normal skin then you'd love it for sure :)
Nivea Extra Whitening Cell Repair & UV Protect
The whitening part may be a little controversial but what I would like to highlight about this body lotion is the fact that it is rich in Vitamin C and is hence great as an anti-tan. It boasts of SPF 15 and is hence great for those who like to or have to spend their days outdoor. Its like a body lotion cum sun screen, perfect for the Summers :)Price: INR 347/- for 350 ml
It doesn't have a heavy texture at all, rather it is pretty runny and light and is hence formulated for all skin types. It contains Camu Camu Berries and Acerola Cherries that are rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C. They also help alleviate inflammation and soothes your skin or mild allergies and irritants.
I personally love how it smells, a little floral and little citrusy and very feminine :)
So thats was a round up of 4 variants of Nivea Body Lotions. Which one will you pick this season?
The much needed consolidated review. I love their cocoa variant. Works wonderfully on my dry skin.
