REVIEW: Lakme Absolute Matte Lip Tints

Lakme Absolute Matte Lip Tints - Raving Red, Starlet Red & Magenta Magic

So I just had a late night shower and since I wasn't getting any sleep, I decided to watch TV... Guess what's on, on Comedy Central right now... FRIENDS... Am not a fan, have never been but S1 E12 is kind of cute :) And Joey is kind of hot, is that just me or does anyone feel that too?

*giggles*

So anyhow, when Friends could not hold my attention much longer, I sat down to write a review... Sooooo Beauty Blogger, right? Right? And while I was going through pictures that I had clicked eons ago of products that I still need to review, I came across these super gorgeous pictures of Lakme Lip Tints that I probably am the only beauty blogger who hasn't reviewed yet... Siiggghhhh...

You know what drew me to these lip tint babies, I mean come on, they are yet another batch of lip crayons in the market... But well the packaging is so classy! I mean the quality, the colors and the fact that they are matte, simply rakes up the right points in my scoreboard :)

Price of Lakme Absolute Matte Lip Tints

They cost INR 650/-

Lame Absolute Matte Lip Tints come in self coloured crayon kind of packaging with matte silver caps and you need to rotate them to dispense the color stick outwards... You know the typical lip crayon packaging but of super quality... I have had these babies since almost 4 months now and I carry them in my bag but the lettering is still intact :)

Magenta Magic is a strong purplish Pink that is bright and vibrant and it immediately brightens up my complexion. Just this baby and I am ready to go. It simply pops and you cannot ignore this color my friend... In a good way...
Starlet Red is a beautiful Red with a little yellow undertones while Raving Red has pinkish undertones. On the lips they look the same but there is a little difference... I wish I could explain it better!
Pigmentation wise they are the bomb especially Magenta Magic and Startlet Red. Raving Red is a little light for my liking but the shade is gorgeous...

Coming to the finish, these lip tints are matte to the core and can sometimes be a hassle cause they do tend to emphasise dry, flaky lips but if you exfoliate your lips beforehand then they will see you through for sure...
The staying power is really good and they don't fade till for almost 6 hours even after meals.

They are priced well, they have awesome pigmentation and they are freaking matte... I don't need to say anything more, now do I? But I'll still spell it out for you guys... Buy them!

Also, I am yet to review them on blog. In fact, I got them just few days back - quite an interesting story behind that BTW. I think I should write that story on my blog now :P

  4. All the 3 shades look gorgeous. And I like that they have mentioned the expiry on the cap and not on a peel away elastic film.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
