Forest Essentials Bhringraj Hair Vitalizer Review!

Forest Essentials Bhringraj Hair Vitalizer Review

ISLM Writer: Nimisha

Gorgeous hair is the best revenge. - Ivana Trump

Yup, gorgeous hair sure does make you stand out. And who does love the free flowing tresses which feel buttery on caressing.
Well, enough of the dream chants here. Let's get down to business.
Here, I present one of my most trusted products for hair care.

As I harp on my hair story ever since I shifted to Pune a few years back, I had been battling with incessant hair fall. Though, naturally I have pretty smooth and silken straight hair but the harsh waters of Pune, had taken much of an irreversible toll on my hair. Hence, I have always been on a look out for hair products that can save the grace (well at least for my hair).

So, here came Forest Essentials Bhringraj Hair Vitalizer.

This luxurious ayurvedic product currently sells at Rs.1095 for a 100ml bottle. Pricey, right? I know. I believe for most of the Forest Essentials products, the steep price is a definite con.

So, what make this vitalizer such a stand out.

Forest Essentials' description claims that 'Forest Essentials Hair Vitalizer Bhringraj is designed to stimulate hair growth and restore vitality of hair. This multi-functional hair vitalizer is enriched with Ayurvedic herbal extracts which deliver optimal anti-breakage benefits and strengthen hair follicles. It is a clear light honey colored liquid which can be sprayed on the clean and dry scalp every day. Non sticky and easy to use. It’s benefits include stimulating hair growth, improving the structure and increasing volume of the hair and strengthening the hair to resist damage.'

Honestly, it could not have been more true. It has helped control my hairfall. Period!

My hair looks much more sane; it has tamed much of the anti-frizz that the harsh weather and water has caused.

My hair follicles had started to thin. I could make that out with the increasing number of twirls of my hair bands. My hair has started to gain back it volume as well as the bounce.

Moreover, I had started to get a few white hair strands, which sure were to appear. (I am ageing, you see :P), but I saw them going back to brown. So, it has helped with my pre mature greying.

Need I say more, my lovelies!

This product is very easy to use. You just have to spray it to the scalp- at the roots and massage it for a minute or so. I absorbs in no time.

After having used this product, I think it works best with damp hair. I say so, as it does not interfere with the sebum produced by the scalp and is absorbed essentially.

I use it after every wash, and since I have to wash my hair every alternate day. It goes fine with me. Earlier I used it on my entire scalp only to realise that I would be selling a arm and a leg very soon :P And thus, began the time I started using it only on my problem areas of my scalp. Only is it once a week that I apply it all over my scalp. :)

Still the bottle runs for about a month and a half for me.

Positives

  • Prevents premature greying
  • Improves hair texture as well as strengthens hair from within.
  • Combats hairfall caused by water and weather conditions.

Negatives

  • Cost on the higher side if compared to the usage.

Verdict

I am currently using my fourth bottle. Need I say more :)

    1. I do agree the price is slight steep, but then it works really well.

Moreover, this isn't an oil; it's more like a leave-in serum. It isn't sticky and has a pleasant fragrance to it.

Do give it a try and let us know whether you liked it. 😊

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
