Valentine's Day Makeup Look - 5 Lip Colors

Valentine's Day Makeup Look - 5 Lip Colors

So this year the pati and I are celebrating a long distance Valentine's Day... If you follow me on Instagram, you'd know that I visited Delhi for a day on Wednesday... The pati however decided to stay on longer and well hence the long distance Valentine's Day this year...

Today when we were talking on the phone, I reminded him that it was the 14th tomorrow and that he shouldn't forget to wish me, he kidded that he could already imagine me in a hot red lipstick... Well I said I'd be wearing pink and well our bantering continued... But it got me thinking... Valentine's Day means different things for different people, so much so that we tend to relate different colors with it too...

For some its Red, for some Pink and well you never know cause for some it could well be nude ;)

So I decided to do a makeup look that would go with almost all shades of lipsticks and hence would be versatile enough to be worn during the day as well as at night...
I hope you guys like the look and it feels really good to be doing a makeup look post after ages...

The Makeup Look Breakdown

1. I went with a mattifying foundation that also gave me about medium coverage and a smooth texture.

2. For the eyes I used a soft cut-crease technique using a matte brown shade in the crease and a glittery peachy shade on my lids. I applied kohl in my waterline and lined my upper lash line thickly with a jet black eye liner.
I forgot to wear mascara :/

3. Where blush is concerned I did not go overboard with it and went with a more natural looking Orange blush. It kinda makes me look a little tanned and imparts an exotic feel to the whole look.

4. And finally I used 5 lip colors to show you guys that this look is extremely versatile and can be paired with any lipstick where color as well as texture is concerned :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
