5 Best Skincare Products for Oily Skin Under 500 Rupees!

ISLM Writer: Ishleen

Hello my angels!
How is everyone doing? Summers are about to be here any time now and all of us oily skinned damsels are dreading the upcoming months of profusely sweat glands and perspiring skins--oh, how this gave my shock bumps! But as we say, protection is better than cure and here we have an array of the best-of-the-lot skincare products which are tried and tested on a sweaty pig like me and wouldnt burn a nasty hole in your pockets!

So in no particular order, here goes my tried and tested skincare product compilation!

1. Kama Ayurveda Steam Distilled Rose Water

PRICE: 250 INR

I scream, you scream, we all scream for..no, not ice-cream, but our beloved Kama ayurveda Steam distilled rose water! I mean, I have never came across any person who has used this little bottle of heavenly goodness and not fallen in love with it! I mean even on the most bad skin days when my face is breaking out badly, and I cannot even dare to use product on my skin--this little baby boy has always proved itself to be a loyal friend! I mean, I do not expect you guys to taken into consideration each of my recommendations, but if you miss this little baby, you will be at a loss for sure!

2. Fab India Tulsi Toner

PRICE: 180 INR

Infused with the natural goodness of neem leaves extract, reetha and tulsi oil, if there is one toner which has worked for my super sensitive and extensively oily skin--it is this toner which comes from the trusted name FAB INDIA! It does not irritate even the most sensitive or acne-prone skin types and effectively removes even the slightest of residue left on the skin! The toner feels very fresh on the skin and is good in controlling the sebum production--keeping the oil in control!

3. Vicco Turmeric Cream In Foam Base

PRICE: 68 INR
No skincare regimen can ever be complete without inculcating a nice little facial cleanser, or our traditional face wash! I know, coming from the house of Vicco, it may seem a bit out of the line, but trust me when I say it is a boon for all us oily skinned beauties! It strips the skin of any excess oil without making the skin to feel or look parched! Leaves the skin moisturised but without that excessive film of oil sticking to your face kind of feeling! A must have for all oily skinned beauties this summer!

4. Vedic Collection Tatha Day Cream

PRICE: 420 INR
I love my Vedic Collection kit, but if there is something which I love the most is their Normal Day cream! I know some if you may feel that it clearly says that is meant for normal skin type, but some times just sticking by the brand tags is not enough! I have tried this day cream and have loved it ever since! Smells heavenly, blends in like a dream and gets soaked in the deep layers of the skin in seconds without feeling too heavy or sticky or anything of that sorts!

5. Fab India Lemon Grass Facial Spray

PRICE: 190 INR
Continuing with my obsession for spray bottles and the instant rejuvenation that comes along with it, the last name on the list would be the Fab India lemongrass facial sprays! We all know hoe lemons and lemon infused skincare products are oily-skin's best friend? So keeping up with the tradition, this spray bottle infused with lemongrass essential oil instantly rejuvenates and refreshes the skin while providing a nice cooling effect to the skin! And for the price tag, go get it babe!

Which are your favourite of the lot?

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
