5 Skincare Products Under INR 500 - Dry Skin

When I started blogging, the initial years were all about using, reviewing and writing about products that I could get my hands on easily. This obviously meant that the majority of the products that I used were essentially drugstore or budget buys... Then I got recognition by PRs and brands and my horizon with respect to skincare and beauty products broadened and I got easy access to expensive and luxurious products...

However, to be honest, my favourite skincare products are a homogeneous mixture of both expensive as well as budget products... They go hand-in-hand with my daily skincare regimen and I have to attribute my skin's health to both kinds of products equally...

Hence today, I decided to share with you all, my Top 5 Skincare Products Under INR 500 for Dry Skin. I promise I will have a similar post up for Oily Skin as well :)

So lets get right into it...

1. Nivea Soft Light Moisturiser Face Cream

This probably comes as surprise to you all cause I don't think I have ever mentioned this ever on the blog :) But honestly, I am a huge fan of anything Nivea and the Nivea Soft Light Moisturiser is literally a game changer for my skin... I use it all year round, as a day cream during the winters and a night cream during the summers. It is a winner and I genuinely cannot think of my life without it. I carry it with me on vacations, I have a small pot of it in my handbag that I carry to office and of course a big pot sitting right in the middle of my dresser :)

Its super moisturising, gets absorbed quickly and makes my skin feel like silk.

Price of Nivea Soft Light Moisturiser: INR 230/- for 200 ml

2. Just Herbs Silky Splash Neem-Bitter Orange Facial Wash

I have been using this face wash since more than a year now and I am extremely impressed with it. It is mild, yes really mild and no it won't take your makeup off. But there's something about it that works so beautifully on your skin and leaves it supple and smooth. It isn't drying at all and it literally feels like honey :)

3. Just Herbs Apricot Sparkle Skin Radiance Scrub

Another Just Herbs product and another winner, the Apricot Sparkle Skin Radiance Scrub literally makes your skin sparkling clean and exfoliated. It is mild but surprisingly gets the job done so well that you are left stunned at how you have ever endured other face scrubs in the past. It has a very subtle nutty fragrance and is not drying at all... You have to use it to understand why I really love this gem of a product!

4. FabIndia Charcoal Face Pack

When I talk about budget skincare products FabIndia has to feature... But you already knew that :)
The FabIndia Charcoal Face Pack would be perfect for oily skin skin but it works for me wonderfully when I apply it only on the oily parts of my face i.e. the T-zone... It's great, it smells yummy, kind of makes me feel really fresh and clean and it sure is a must have product during the Summers!

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
