5 best Highlighters Available In India!

ISLM Writer: Ishleen

Hello my girlies!
The monsoon has already kicked in here in Delhi, and I do not know why but all I could think of while sitting at my porch, hearing the pitter patter of the rain--was highlighters! Maybe it is the romantic weather, or just me being hopelessly romantic--but somehow I always attach rains and makeup highlighters with romance! And I am sure there would be plenty of us who feel the same romanticism towards our beloved highlighters, so why not compile our very own Top 5 best highlighters available for the Indian skin tones! And just so you know, I am a college goer myself and am almost always tight on budget, so again I have tried to include products which are comparatively affordable but have bang-on quality!

1. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer

Highlighters for Indian Skins and Maybelline's Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting concealers are almost synonyms, no? I mean when I first discovered highlighting, it was this little baby which stood beside me in all my contoured times! I won't say that this is the easiest to blend in, but with wet sponges it is a breeze to use and give a very nice, natural, lit from within highlighting experience which suits warm Indian skins to the T.

2. Lakme Absolute moonlit Highlighter

There are times when we need a nice glowy look without any shimmers or sparkly look, but just a teensy bit of healthy glow which looks natural, is apt for day looks and is a boon for makeup newbies, isn't it? And this is where our trusted brand lakme comes up with products for us, the Absolute moonlit highlighter being \one such versatile product!

3. Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Peach Lights highlighter

Who does not love makeup revolution, except when they are sold at hyped up prices here in  India? I personally do and if there is one thing that has been on my wish list for like forever, it is the vivid baked peach lights highlighter which is such a gorgeous champagne-golden toned powder highlighter which I believe is universally flattering and will suit everyone eqaully well!

4. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in bronze

Bobbi Brown is the epitome of trusted makeup products, the shimmer brick highlighters being on the top! I have myself used this highlighter a couple of times (borrowed from a friend, yes I am cheapster in that way ;p) and it goes on super smooth and looks so pretty! Agreed that Sivanna Colors has already come up with exact dupes for the same, but Bobbi brown is Bobbi Brown; unbeatable in terms of quality and pigmentation! A must try if you are ready to splurge!

5. Colorbar Radiant Glow (Eclat Lumiere) Highlighter

One more budget friendly highlighter which works wonders for the price tag it comes at is the Colorer Radiant Glow Highlighter! It is kind of a rip off of the YSL Touche Eclat Highlighter but thankfully is easier on the pocket :) It gives a gloriously shimmery finish and it is literally so iridescent that it shines! It can easily give the high-end highlighters a run for their money! that glow, man!

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
