Top 10 Kohls Available In India

Top 10 Kohls Available In India

ISLM Writer: Sanchita

Kohl or Kajal is such an essential item that can actually bring a whole new magical difference to your look. Be a smoky look, subtle tight lining, thick lining or winged lining, it is something that will define the eyes beautifully, giving a veil of sultry, seductive and mysterious look. We love coloured eyeliners and liquid liners but every girl would agree that there isn't any substitute for jet black kajal. Indian market is flooded with a lot of options but today, I have short listed 10 best of the best kohls, for that smudge-proof, water-proof and long lasting look. So, scroll down to see the list of best kajals.

1. Faces Magneteyes Kajal Lasts All Day

Prcie: INR 175
One of the best launches of Faces in India was the Magnet eyes Kajal. It is creamy and glides very smoothly. One of the perks is the red vibrant packaging and it is enriched in Vitamin C and dermatalogically tested, therefore, it won’t sting or irritate your eyes at all. The jet black creamy colour is extremely alluring and it remains on the waterline for around 3 hrs without budging. This is the best smudge-free and water proof kajal on the budget friendly list and excellent choice for a daily wear.

2. Maybelline The Colossal Kajal 12 Hour Smudge

Price: INR 199
Maybelline was the pioneer brand to bring forward the total ‘smudge proof’ and ‘water proof’ variant in the Indian market with a price range of 150 INR. With time, they evolved from the 8 hr claim to 12 hr and we loved it even more. The lively yellow packaging was the best thing for a kajal and we loved how it glided on the eyes. Of lately they have also taken out coloured version and they were equally good. It stays around 5-6 hours on the eyes without smudging and is totally water proof.

3. Lotus Colorkick Kajal

Price: INR 200
I was a bit sceptical in buying this one initially but the sole reason I bought this was the perky pink packaging. Never in my wildest dreams, had I come across such a smooth jet black colour kajal for this price. It glides well on the eyes and it settles down very quickly so you will have touch time creating a smoky effect. However, the intensity and staying power of 8 hrs is good that I always keep a backup of this. It is a must-try for every kohl lover.

4. Lakme Eyeconic Kajal

Price: INR 210
Our desi brand Lakme has a version of budget friendly kajal and also with coloured variants. It is the creamiest one of all and easiest to create a smoky and sultry look. It stays on the waterline for a long time and the retractable function ensures there’s no wastage of product. For a smooth, east going black kajal, it is a great option and sometimes there are also available on eye catching discounts.

5. SUGAR Twist and Shout Fadeproof Kajal

Price: INR 39
This brand has very few product but every one of them is a stroke of genius - from the matte lip crayons to eyeliner and kajal. The Twist and Shout Fadeproof Kajal. It has an excellent pigmentation for a kajal, glides well on the eyes and great for creating a soft smudged look. It doesn't irritate the eyes and stays for around 7-8 hours easily without making you look like a raccoon. The price may be slightly high but the retractable function works great.

6. Faces Longwear Eye Pencil

Price: INR 449
Apart from the Magneteyes Kajal, the Faces has the Longwear Eye Pencil series with a black kajal and coloured versions. These are sharpenable ones but the colour payoff is creamy and pitch black. It is great for those special occasions and gives an enriched look to the eyes. No doubt the quality great for the price you pay but, it is important to finish it off as soon as you can because it has the tendency to get dry.

7. Colorbar Just Smoky Kajal Black

Price: INR 650
When these were launched, I went crazy buying every one of the colours including the black one. It has sharpenable packaging and has a smudger sponge tip on the other end. It is a deepest black colour and once it is set, it doesn’t smudge at all. It is completely water proof and lasts for around the whole day. The intensity of this kajal is good that one to two strokes will suffice the deep colour you desire. Although the price is slightly high but the quality is one of the best you can get.

8. Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal

Price: INR 725
This one is very similar to the Colorbar Just Smoky Kajal and has almost the same intensity of jet black colour. It is also accompanied with a slant smudger and sharpenable. On tight lining the eyes, it gives a great colour pay off and you will love the smoky and sultry look. It is also creamy and hence, stays on the waterline for around 4-5 hours but doesn't smudge and give you raccoon eyes. It is slightly difficult to remove due to its longevity but surely worth it.

9. Inglot Kohl Pencil

Price: INR 850
Considering the list of smudge proof and waterproof list of kohls, Inglot Kohl Pencil surely makes it due to its beautiful texture. It is sharpenable and has a beautiful matte body. The kajal is moderately creamy and settles down pretty fast and leaves no room for smudging. Due to its beautiful texture, it lasts long on the eyes and doesn't irritate the water line as well. the staying power is around 6-7 hours even in humid climate.

10. MAC Smolder Eye Kohl

Price: Approx. INR 1200
Last but not the least, the giant of all kajals in the market and honestly, if you’re used to MAC Smolder Eye Kohl but can never go back to any other kajal. Splurging on this beauty is a sheep pleasure, especially when it gives such an incomparable jet blackest of the black colour in its first swipe. It is heartbreaking to even waste tiniest amount of this kajal and it can make your eyes like no other. It is so creamy and best for creating a smoky eye look.

So which of these are on your lust-list?

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :) Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;) Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal

Changes in my Skincare and Fitness Perspective Post 30

Changes in my Skincare and Fitness Perspective Post 30 #Adulting One early morning while I was sipping an exceptionally strong cup of coffee and introspecting I identified a few lifestyle changes that I had incorporated in the past year or so. On further retrospection I realised that these changes were a part of what I perceived would be good for me in the long run... When did I start thinking about my health in the future? When did I start worrying about how my skin would be 10 years down the line? OMG was I #Adulting? Is this even the correct usage of the latest hashtag?

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener  Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh!
