The Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream Review And Swatches!

ISLM Writer: Hina

Hey everyone!
Here I am back with the review of The Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream. I am a huge fan of BB creams because of their versatility.
This BB Cream is specifically designed for an acne/sensitive/blemished skin type. The Tea Tree Oil infused in this BB Cream gives you flawless coverage, and also fights your blemishes by keeping your skin acne free.

Tea tree oil is one of the most effective products you can use to clear your acne, redness, and control oil on your face. This plant oil has various antibacterial properties which works brilliantly for skincare, hair care, and body care products.

Product Description:

About The Body Shop Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream

Perfect your complexion and fight the look of blemishes with our Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream. This dual action cream gives you flawless coverage whilst tackling the appearance of blemishes. Formulated with purifying Community Fair Trade organic tea tree oil from Kenya. – Blemishes and imperfections are instantly covered – Lightweight formula gives shine-free complexion – 3 shades blend seamlessly into all skin tones for natural-looking coverage.

Price of The Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream

Rs. 1095 for 40mL.

The product comes in the standard opaque green colored squeezy tube with a flip open cap, similar to other tea-tree products from TBS.  Since it is a small 40mL tube, it is quite handy, convenient, fuss free and travel friendly.

The texture of Tea Tree BB cream is thick and creamy.

The BB cream has a distinct tea-tree fragrance, like the rest of the range. The smell is refreshing and subsides after some time.

Feel, Usage and Effectiveness

The BB cream blends easily and spreads evenly on the skin. A small amount goes a long way. It gets absorbed into the skin quickly leaving a dewy matte look. Good for normal and oily skin, and for dry skin, you might need a moisturizer underneath. Did not break me out and clog the pores. You can also apply The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimizer first, and then wear this BB Cream to make your skin look matte all day long. . It gives that fresh no make-up look instantly.. This melts away with sweat in hot and humid weather. And lack of SPF needs an additional application of sunscreen.

Colour, Coverage & Staying power

The coverage is pretty and can be said to be a good sheer to medium. And it hides pigmentation and acne scars to quite an extent. Helpful in covering the dark circles.
The Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream comes in 3 shades- 01. 02 & 03.
You get a decent wear time of about 5 hours which is great for everyday wear. If not topped with powder the staying power might reduce.

  1. Gets absorbed instantly giving a natural dewy-matte look.
  2. Fragrance of Tea tree oil is quite refreshing.
  3. It does not breaks out and clogs pores.
  4. Sturdy travel-friendly packaging.
  5. Helps clear blemishes and Suitable for acne prone skin
  6. Decent staying power

  1. No SPF
  2. Pricey
  3. Shade selection is limited and tricky

Final Word

I am loving this BB cream as it gives a fresh flawless dewy look instantly. Must try if you have acne prone/blemished skin.
Thank you so much for reading, and stay happy and healthy until next time! Lots of luvvvv…

  1. Great review! But a BB cream without SPF is a turn off! BB creams are meant to save our time and eliminate the need of layering up different products! Otherwise it sounds fantastic :)

My recent post: Playing Up with Pastel Hues This Valentine's Day | Makeup Look !!

  2. I like the coverage of TBS BB cream. But the shades are less. I ended up picking up a darker shade as the lighter shade was very light on me.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
