Street Wear Color Rich Ultra Moist Lip Color Very Vampire Review and Swatches!

Street Wear Color Rich Ultra Moist Lip Color Very Vampire Review and Swatches!

ISLM Writer: Sanchita

I never get tired of reds. There were several occasions I ended up buying a lipstick of same color (read: red) and not using it ever again. Well, old habits die hard. One of the latest buy of mine is the Street Wear Color Rich from an online portal. I expected it to be a darker version, so that I can wear it in winter (you know how you can confidently wear vampy colours in broad daylight) but somehow it turned out to be some other kind of red. Nevertheless, I loved its texture and it is very easy to wear in winter. Scroll down to know about the lipstick in details.

My Review

The Street Wear Color Rich lipsticks has a fun packaging. It has a black twist up function, like any other regular lipstick with a plastic cap. I absolutely love that chic Archie comic look but the bullet doesn't completely goes down while twisting back. Hence, I have chipped off the tip a lot of time accidentally. I wouldn't call it a very sturdy and travel friendly one, but if you can be careful it is a fine to carry it along.

The shade “Very Vampire” (which I thought to be an ox-blood-ish or vampy color) turns out to be a bright red which will look good on a number of warm complexions it has a pinkish undertones but it is very tough to detect unless you go out in the bright daylight. Thankfully, it has no shimmer or glitters and gives soft red warm look. Those who are clueless about ‘what kind of red’ you want, can easily choose this color.

Texture and Finish

The texture is true to its name ‘Ultra-moisturizing’. It glides on the lips like a dream and very forgiving for the dry and patchy lips. It doesn't clings on to flaky skin and gives a smooth look. Bright red has the tendency to bleed most of the time but luckily, this colour doesn't bleed at all. I love the semi-creamy part as it is very comfortable to wear even in winters. The finish is creamy and if your lips has the tendency to dry up, you will notice it look semi-matte with the passage of time.

Pigmentation is good and with two swipes you get that even look. It has the ability to cover any discolourations on the lips and doesn't look blackish or ashy at all. Underneath a lip liner, it is one of the awesome red lip colour for my daily look. No matter how much you layer it, it doesn't look cakey or overdone.

Staying Power

The lipstick stays normally for around 4 hours but when I want to make it lasts longer, I use a lip liner underneath and mattify it with a translucent powder. For the price, I believe it is a great red and given its quality, I am pretty sure I will buy few more for the Street Wear Color Rich range soon.

What I Loved

1. Cute packaging.
2. Lovely bright red shade for Indian skin tones.
3. It has pink undertones and without any shimmers.
4. Smooth and creamy texture.
5. Quite forgiving for dry lips.
6. Doesn't bleed at all.
7. Easy to layer it.
8. Good pigmentation and hides discolourations on lips.
9. Staying power of 4 hours approximately.

What I Disliked

1. Packaging needs to be more convenient.
2. Ingredient list is missing.

Overall Rating

For a budget friendly red, it is an awesome product. Those who afraid of reds, can surely try it with their eyes closed and it compliments a lot of skin tones. I loved the texture and would recommend this colour and other shades from the range.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :) Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;) Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal

Changes in my Skincare and Fitness Perspective Post 30

Changes in my Skincare and Fitness Perspective Post 30 #Adulting One early morning while I was sipping an exceptionally strong cup of coffee and introspecting I identified a few lifestyle changes that I had incorporated in the past year or so. On further retrospection I realised that these changes were a part of what I perceived would be good for me in the long run... When did I start thinking about my health in the future? When did I start worrying about how my skin would be 10 years down the line? OMG was I #Adulting? Is this even the correct usage of the latest hashtag?

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener  Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work... Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!
