P.S. I generally do not post a list of ingredients but the horrendously huge list compelled me to bring it to your notice, because the next time I crave for a Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick I will surely take this aspect into consideration!

The lipstick, like all conventioanl lipsticks come in a typical twist up tube. The tube is a dark shimmery purplish coloured one which almost leans to a black! the packaging though elegant, seems a little fragile to me and i always fear that it will open up in my bag if I carry it along! But the twist up technique is very reliable and the lipstick goes completely inside the tube so you wont snip it!

As the name suggests, the lipstick comes in the nude colour family--a shade which you will want to wear in order to fake the no-makeup look! But sadly, not for our Indian beauties! I cannot say the shade isn't gorgeous, I mean I loved it the moment I laid my eyes on it at the rimmel counter, and it does look like the most perfect nude for us Indian skins in the tube and even on swatching, but on the lips it comes out a bit pale! Not too pale though, and can be easily worn with a good deep nude pink lip liner to balance out the tones of the otherwise pale lipstick!

The Lipstick feels really creamy and glides on like buttery (a bit too creamy for my taste though, but cant complain). However, belonging tot he lasting finish line, the last thing I expect a lipstick to be is super-creamy!

How It Wears And For How Long?

As I mentioned above, it goes on super creamy and feels really moisturising on the lips even if worn without a lip balm. I mean I did not feel the need to wear a lip balm under it to be honest! the lipstick does have a tendency to settle a bit into the lip lines after a couple of hours, but that is manageable as the lipstick does not stay for any more than 4 hours because it is so creamy! With every sip you take, with every bit you devour, with every kiss you steal--this lipstick comes off with each passing moment and transfers like crazy!

Coverage and Pigmentation

One praise-worthy thing of this lipstick is its pigmentation! The lipstick has some serious colour pigments which give off an opaque colour in just one swipe. for super pigmented lips, it will take two swipes, three tops! So a big thumbs up for pigmentation and coverage!

  1. Budget friendly
  2. Creamy and moisturising
  3. Nice, workable nude shade
  4. Goes on the lips super-smooth
  5. Super pigmented
  6. Covers the lip patchiness and spots completely
  7. Does not get accumulated around the corners of the mouth
  8. Nice retractable technique so the bullet wont snip off

  1. Flimsy packaging
  2. A little pale for Indian skin tones
  3. Transfers like crazy
  4. Does not stay on for any longer than 3-4 hours
  5. Settles into the lip lines
  6. Does not fulfill the claim of "Lasting Finish"

Final Verdict

If you are on the fair-medium side, and are on the constant look out for a fairly good nude, which can be toned up and down as per your requirement, and you do not mind a not so long-lasting lipstick, go and purchase this lipstick! But if you want an actual lasting finish lipstick, skip it!

  1. I like the price point and the shade. Need to try Rimmel lipsticks.

    1. The lipsticks are a steal, though availability can be a issue at times! :(

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
