My Envy Box February 2016: Happy Anniversary Forest Essentials

My Envy Box February 2016: Happy Anniversary Forest Essentials

This month's My Envy Box was a surprise and a pleasant one at that... First off, the box is really really pretty, the peacock, the colors and the water color effect, everything just looks so beautiful... So much so that I ended up clicking more pictures of the box than the products themselves :P *giggles*

So why is the Envy Box special this month? It is because they are celebrating 15 years of Forest Essentials bringing us luxurious Ayurveda in our lives :) So needless to say every product in the My Envy Box February 2016 edition is by the cult favourite Ayurveda brand Forest Essentials... Yayee!

The collection of samples/products that constituted My Envy Box is a delightful mix of bath to skincare products...

1. Forest Essentials Mashobra Honey and Vanilla Body Lotion

Price: INR 375/- for 50 ml

Like all Forest Essentials products, this body lotion smells rich and heavenly... It has a sweetish fragrance thanks to the Vanilla in it and it doesn't make you smell like a cake or a cookie :)
Texture wise it is rich, very moisturising and makes your skin feel all smooth and supple. It contains Kokum butter, burnt sugar and organic Beeswax that helps provide hydration naturally.

2. Forest Essentials Silkening Shower Wash - Madurai Jasmine & Mogra

Price: INR 295/- for 50 ml

This is one product that I am not really a fan of and that is because of its fragrance. It smells like Jasmine and Mogra that I dislike pretty intensely... However, as a product it is great, very refreshing and not drying...

3. Forest Essentials Lightening & Brightening Tejaswi Emulsion

Price: INR 2275/- for 50 gms.

To be honest, when I saw this product I had no idea what was... I mean what is an emulsion and how do you use it, right? Well apparently you just massage it on your face and neck and all the goodness of Ghee helps your skin with mositurisation and making it look more youthful.

4. Forest Essentials Luxury Sugar Soap - Bengal Tuberose

Price: INR 295 for 50 gms

I love handmade soaps... And I have my stocked up on soaps from FabIndia... But am  glad I got a chance to sample this soap... Luxurious does not even cover half of what it feels like in the shower... I like the fragrance as well cause it smells like spas smell, if you know what I mean...

5. Forest Essentials Hand Pounded Organic Fruit Scrub

Price: INR 1675/- for 50 gms

This is my favourite product from the box... I love my facial scrubs and I generally find all scrubs work for me. However, this Forest Essentials scrub is the epitome of Luxury... It is made out of Dates, Peaches, Almond Seeds, Apricot Oil and honey. Now with an ingredients list like that I would be crazy not to like it :)
Plus the scrub is really mind and very very refreshing...

My Envy Box is probably my favourite subscription box. They have the most glorious selection of products and I love their packaging...

  1. You got some amazing products <3
I have too ordered one for myself, hope I get the same ones.

  2. I love the packaging of the box. The peacock images look beautiful.

  3. the product sent is good and nice packaging

  4. I am happy with this month's box. Really looking forward to trying out the products.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
