Maybelline Blush Studio Cheeky Glow in Peachy Sweetie Review and Swatches!

Maybelline Blush Studio Cheeky Glow in Peachy Sweetie Review and Swatches!

ISLM Writer: Ishleen

Hello my angels!
How is everyone doing? Remember, how last week our darling Santa (read Samyukta) sent across a bag full of goodies for me to devour? Yes, I still was trying to get over that overwhelming happiness when she called up today and gave me more good news! Guess what? My bae is finally coming to meet me! And as Sam says, when we are in a good mood, we feel good about the products we are about to review! Maybe she is right, because I most definitely am in love with this little baby blush I am in for reviewing today!

What does Maybelline have to say?

For cheeks that glow with a natural finish:
• Ultra light weight, silky, blendable powders.
• Meet the new blush on the block. So Silky and Smooth, it blends flawlessly for the most natural finish.
• Soft texture for a natural hue.
• Easily blends with your skin colour.
• Comes with three fresh colours for your pretty skin: Creamy Cinnamon, Fresh Coral and Peachy Sweetie

More quantity for lesser price? Yes, please!

250 bucks for 7 heaping grams of product? Are you kidding me? We do not even get a decent lipstick in the 250 tag these days and here is our beloved Maybelline selling across gorgeous blushes in this cheap a price range! More power to you Maybelline!

How well has Maybelline worked on the packaging?

Small price tag, small compact, and not to forget, a super cute packaging is what Maybelline has to offer to us with the blush studio range of cheeky glow blushes! Though the blushes do not come with any mirror or an applicator or something, but at 250 bucks, I wasn’t even expecting one! However cute might the packaging may look, we have to agree that it is a bit flimsy and will break off if you let this baby fall even from the slightest of heights! Plus, the dome shaped product in the pan makes things no easier for the fidgety ones!

Is Peachy Sweetie really sweet?

I always wanted a nice cool peachy pink sort of shade to sit in my vanity, as I am done buying warm toned blushes and want to experiment so much with new variants in the market! And this baby right here is just a perfect (not too cool not to warm) shade of peachy hued pink with such subtle silver shimmers, which do not come up as shimmer, but as a nice dewy glow on the skin! Love the shade! It looks really natural and gives a healthy flushed look to the face!

How well does it stay and is it pigmented enough?

I mean I generally do not expect much wow from my cheaper products; especially well it comes to staying! The blush is moderately pigmented, especially on medium skin tones! I mean it took at least 3 swipes to get the colour to show up on my skin! On extremely fair skin tones, this wouldn’t be a problem though! But the downside here is the staying! I have oily skin which is not too oily in winters, but even in this chilly weather the blush could not manage to go beyond a 3 hour stretch! But thanks to the super petite packaging, I carried it in my bag and touched it up!

Do I recommend?

Due to average pigmentation, it is great for makeup newbies! And at the price it comes, I can never say no to cheeky glow blushes!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In NC42

Review of MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In Shade NC42

Guest Post By: Rmyah

There are days when I just cannot help look at myself through any reflective surface that I can. Be it mirrors, glass doors, rear view mirrors, the back of a spoon and even a pond. And then there are days when I wished everyone was blind, every mirror shattered, the serene water turbulent, anything to avoid me seeing my face. One such day when my skin was going through a blearrrgh phase I decided to put my face on the web and show you how I deal with it. My savior is the MAC studio fix fluid foundation which has been my HG foundation for about three months now.
