My Envy Box - January 2016

My Envy Box - January 2016

Its been an extremely exhaustive past few weeks... I am out of the house by 9:00 am and I get back only by 10:30 pm or so... Its all been about work, work and well yeah lots of coffee... Something's gotta keep a girl going, right? And so here's a heartfelt cheers to coffee and makeup :)

So last week even though was stressful and mundane, there was a silver lining of sorts cause I received the January 2016 edition of My Envy Box and I am super excited about everything I received in it... My Envy Box is a luxurious subscription box for makeup and skincare products (if you hadn't heard of it yet!) and it never disappoints :) You can check out www.myenvybox.com and also subscribe to it...

I promise you will not be disappointed...

This month, My Envy Box constitutes a range of products and brands...

1. L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine Balm Gloss - Lychee Lust

Yay for a full size product :) L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine Balm Gloss is a gloriously moisturising lip gloss with a balm-y texture. The Shade Lychee Lust is a sheer pink with a little glitter and is a great Summer shade, very girly, very feminine...
Price: INR 475/-

2. O3+ White Day Cream

I received two sample sized tubes of it in my box and I am a little skeptical about the product, to be very honest. Whitening products aren't really my cup of tea and to top it whitening products generally leave a whitish cast that most of us are not fans of ;)
Price: INR 775/-

3. Skin Yoga Oats & Roses Face Wash

This is perhaps the product that I most excited about :) The packaging is fabulous, the concept is novel and I have used it once till now and I love how it feels on my skin. Its a great cleanser and a mild exfoliator. I shall use it a couple of more times and I hope I shall be able to have a comprehensive review for you guys :)
Price: INR 1450/-

4. Soul Tree Aloe & Rose Water Cleanser & Makeup Remover

I received a deluxe sized sample of the Soul Tree Aloe & Rose Water Cleanser and I am glad I did. Its a gentle cleanser that is relaxing and very refreshing and makes my skin feel very smooth and supple. It is not very drying, but I do need to moisturise my skin after every wash. The cherry on the cake is that it is a makeup remover too :)
Price: INR 295/-

5. Calvin Klein Eternity Now EDP

I am not a fan of Calvin Klein fragrances, I find them very strong, very heavy and extremely nausea inducing. However, surprisingly I am sort of liking this fragrance, it is rather refreshing and has a citrusy yet floral undertones that gives it a certain lightness... I am still assessing if Eternity Now will change my perception towards Calvin Klein fragrances :)
Price: INR 3800/-

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
