A Tiny Haul: The Body Shop

The Body Shop - A Tiny Haul

Some trips are special... Could be because of a special someone, could be because of the destination itself, could be the journey :) Well I had a special trip the other day when I traveled to Bombay for a day and while I was on the way to the station to catch my train back to Pune, I stopped at The Body Shop...

I cannot ever resist stepping into The Body Shop...

So I bought a few things and I thought I'd share it with you all...

1. The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

This is a favourite. You guys know that don't you? :) I am in love with cleansing butters and this one in particular always knocks my socks off. Its great as a cleanser as well as a makeup remover and to top it all it smells great :) This by the way is my third tin...

2. Indian Night Jasmine Fragrance Mist

They changed the packaging!!!
This is one of my most favourite fragrances from The Body Shop. It is sweet and warm and spicy and so so understated... And I keep repurchasing it over and over and over again. So much so that I have even lost count of the number of times I have repurchased it :P

3. The Body Shop Glazed Apple Body Butter & Shower Gel

This is new and the moment I saw it I was intrigued. Of course, they being on a 40% discount also helped :P
So The Body Shop apparently came up with 3 variants of Body Care products for the festive season, Glazed Apple, Frosted Plum and Cranberry Joy... My friend had got me the Frosted Plum Body Butter and Shower Gel from the US (I couldn't find them in Pune or Mumbai stores) and hence this time I was itching to try the other variants. Caranberry Joy was extremely sweet smelling and I kinda didn't like it but Glazed Apple seemed yummy! It's fresh, clean and fruity and I am enjoying smelling delicious these days :)
Price: INR 1095/- for the Body Butter and INR 595/- for the Shower Gel

Do you have any recommendations for me from The Body Shop? Any gems from TBS that you might have discovered recently? :)

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

10 Best Loose Powders Available in India

10 Best Loose Powders Available in IndiaISLM Writer: Sanchita

Summer is going to knock on the door soon and we, who are blessed (or cursed) with oily skin, will crawl back to our powders and/or matte foundations to keep the skin oil-free as far as possible. Being oily skinned, I have always found my way back to loose powders even though their packaging is slightly messy. This is because loose or translucent powders are more finely milled than the compact versions and hence gives you an even look rather than a made-up cakey one. Compact has the tendency to look rough under eyes or around the mouth whereas loose powders work excellently. No wonder, oily skin stays matte for longer duration than it does with the compact ones. Mostly, it gives sheer to buildable coverage and sits on the skin like a natural finish look.
