Top 3 Haircare Products That I Love!

Its not everyday that I write about Hair Care products on I Simply Love Makeup. I am guilty of getting inclined more towards makeup and skincare and in the process Hair Care suffers... However, the other day while I was going through the motions of organising my dresser (I seriously find it very boring!) I realised that gradually over time hair care was taking more of my grooming time that skincare was and hence I decided to do a post of what I generally do to take care of my hair.

Yes there is a but, there always is!

My hair isn't really enviable, I mean they are frizzy, dry, have a mind of their own and my torturing them with constant chemical and heat treatment isn't something I am proud of... And hence I decided to shelve the idea of doing a post on how to take care of your hair and instead came up with a post dedicated to My Top 3 Haircare Products that I swear by!

So here we go...

1. BBlunt Born Again Shampoo & Conditioner for Stressed Hair

When I started straightening my hair, I used to use a shampoo and conditioner by Schwarzkopf and then I switched to The Body Shop Banana Shampoo and Conditioner and then I turned to Wella Professional... Don't get me wrong, all of these kinda worked for me and I used them for years, they were good...

And then I was introduced to BBlunt. I have tried 2 ranges of shampoos and conditioners, the Born Again range for stressed hair and Intense Moisture range for very dry hair...
However, the BBlunt Born Again range is simply the bomb! It is great for damaged and stressed hair and if you experiment a lot with your hair then you may want to give this a shot.

2. Wella Professionals Oil Reflections Smoothening Treatment

This is a hair serum and by far the best I have used. It gives TBS Grapeseed Glossing serum as well the Matrix Biologe Serum a run for their money. It is thick, a little silicone-ey but not greasy at all. It comes in a glass bottle (but sturdy), has a strong sweet fragrance (not everyone would like it) and is fabulous for taming dry and frizzy hair. It does not weigh down one's hair and is great for damp as well as dry hair.

3. BBlunt Back To Life Dry Shampoo

We aren't really spoilt for choice in India where Dry Shampoos are concerned. Dry shampoos are still a relatively new phenomenon here and whatever dry shampoos are available to us here easily are not very easy on the pocket. Anyhow, I have tried 2 dry shampoos, one by L'Oreal Professional and the other by BBlunt called the Back to Life Dry Shampoo. Even though the former is pretty decent and I like its fragrance a little more but its the latter that I prefer any day of the week. It not only makes my scalp feel cleaner and fresher, it also gives volume to slick and oily hair and that I think is what stands this dry shampoo apart from its counterparts :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
