REVIEW, SWATCHES: Sleek Makeup Blush "Flushed"

I am 30 years old. And even though I am very comfortable about being on the other side of 30, confident about my looks and probably the happiest in my life, I have realised that subconsciously I have started veering towards makeup practices and techniques that are known for creating an illusion of a youthful appearance.

I am probably being very harsh on myself when I say so, but that's the truth of it. Earlier when I was given an option of choosing only 1 makeup product, I used to invariably reach out to a kajal, now I pick up a blush. When earlier I went all in with shimmer eyeshadows, I now opt for mattes... You get the drift don't you?

Coming back to blush, I nowadays have been veering towards brighter and darker blushes that actually impart a youthful flush. And the most recent and the current favourite is Sleek Makeup Blush in Flushed.

Flushed by Sleek Makeup is a gorgeous Berry shade that imparts a very healthy and a rosy flush to my cheeks. Its a flattering shade for brown skinned beauties and hence is the perfect blush for Indian skin tones. I do detect tiny golden flecks in the pan but surprisingly they are not visible on the skin after you apply the blush. Pigmentation wise, Sleek Makeup Blushes have always been at par with most high end brands and the one that comes to mind immediately are NARS blushes.

The packaging of Sleek Makeup Blush is well sleek :) They come in hard, black sleek cases with an amazing mirror as big as the pan of blush. I love the texture of these blushes as well. They are soft and velvety, very finely milled and can easily be blended. They are build able and great for beginners.

Sleek Makeup Blush "Flushed" - Natural Daylight

Sleek Makeup Blush in Flushed is a beautiful shade that looks stunning in natural daylight as well as under harsh artificial lighting. It gives the wearer an ethereal look and looks like the person wearing it is actually flushing naturally.

Recommendation:
I love this blush and I recommend it to everyone whole-heartedly. The only con being it not being available in India easily but if you can get your hands on it then you must get it.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
