Indian Festive Makeup Look

#MyPlumObsession Indian Festive Makeup Look

I rarely dress up festive, Indian festive at least... I would call my personal style as 'Casual Chic' leaning towards feminine and hence it is very rare that I actually go out and dress up like really dress up... In real life at least... Pretty yes but highly predictable...

Hence, when last week I had to attend a wedding, I decided to go all out and experiment with something other than Red and Pink, my usual choices :) You all know how much I have been lemming Plum lately and so Plum it was...

I chose a turquoise blue Raw Silk suit that has delicate silver embroidery at the neck, border of the sleeves and the panel of the kurta. But instead of going with matching dupatta I chose a Plum-my Silk Manipuri Handloom dupatta with it... That set the base of the look and I centered my makeup around it...

As far as makeup is concerned, I went with silvery, grey eye shadows on the eyes, lined thickly with black liner, a berry blum and well Plum Lips. The lipsticks especially was the star of my look and it went perfectly well with my dupatta.
The Lipstick is called Glamour Fuchsia from the Moist Matte Range by L'Oreal Paris. I have already talked about it HERE and HERE. It truly is a gorgeous and is a brighter version of Plum. When one talks about Plum lipsticks, one thinks of intense, dark and even vampy shades but that isn't really a cup of everyone's tea now is it... And then enters L'Oreal Paris Moist Matte Lipstick in Glamour Fuchsia and well it is as bright a Plum lipstick can get :)

Anyway, here is a blurry picture of my outfit (via Instagram) but pictures of my makeup are better quality (Thank God!)

So what do you think of my look? Do you think this shade of lipstick suits me? Would you give it a shot?

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :) Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;) Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal

Changes in my Skincare and Fitness Perspective Post 30

Changes in my Skincare and Fitness Perspective Post 30 #Adulting One early morning while I was sipping an exceptionally strong cup of coffee and introspecting I identified a few lifestyle changes that I had incorporated in the past year or so. On further retrospection I realised that these changes were a part of what I perceived would be good for me in the long run... When did I start thinking about my health in the future? When did I start worrying about how my skin would be 10 years down the line? OMG was I #Adulting? Is this even the correct usage of the latest hashtag?

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener  Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work... Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!
