3 Underrated Skincare Products that Changed My Life

3 Underrated Skincare Products that Changed My Life

I am on a hiatus from work, a five day break to be precise as I am switching jobs and apart from the cliched "relaxing", "chilling out", "waking up late", "TV marathons" and "non-stop YouTubing", I literally have been experiencing stuff... Vague? Let me elaborate :)

I realised that when I am busy with work, the blog and of course my home chores, I go through the motions in my life as if on auto-pilot. I do things that I am supposed to, I use stuff and products that someone told me was good for me... However, these past few days I have had time to enjoy my baths, feel every bump on my skin while applying my body butter, slow down, experience my skincare routine and actually observe the changes in my skin...

And I realised that my skin hasn't been better in a long long time and I attribute it to the three underrated, even ignored skincare products. These products have however changed my life... For the better :)

1. Facial Mist/Rose Water

Facial mists are one of the most ignored products and well a product that we pass-up without giving a second thought. However, rose water and other natural and organic facial sprays can help you in a lot of ways.

The way I like to use them are numerous and here are my top 3:

Lock-in Moisture
I generally spray a list mist on my face and then apply my moisturiser. This helps seal moisture on the top layer of the skin and keeps your skin hydrated for a longer duration.

Rejuvenate & Relax
This is my favourite function of Facial Mists, they help me relax and rejuvenate especially after or during a long journey. Air travel dehydrates my skin and spraying a little facial spray helps me relax, comforts me and makes me feel a little put together.

Medium for a Face Pack
Most mud packs and face packs requires you to add a liquid medium to form a paste and more often than not the medium is either water or milk. I however like to use rose water or a facial spray. Try it, it works wonders :)

2. Hand & Nail Creams

A lot of us including me are guilty of skipping hand and nail creams and use a moisturiser instead. However, I believe there is a reason why certain products are made for specific body parts and well hand and nail creams are one such example. I have been using a hand salve and a nail cream and I genuinely see a huge difference in the texture of the skin on my hand. My hands are softer and my cuticles have disappeared. Also, my nails are way stronger than what they used to be and I genuinely recommend using a cream specific for hands and nails.

3. Cleansing Butters/Oils

Anything I say about cleansing Butters and Oils is less. I had done a post about how magical using a cleansing butter or oil is and if you missed it then you can read it HERE.
Since the day I have started using these to not only cleanse my face but also remove makeup instead of a face wash and a makeup remover, pimples that would crop up on the side of my face have disappeared, my skin does not feel sore anymore and there is a distinct decrease in fine lines around my eyes. The skin on my face is softer, more supple and radiant.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

Review of MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In Shade NC42

Guest Post By: Rmyah

There are days when I just cannot help look at myself through any reflective surface that I can. Be it mirrors, glass doors, rear view mirrors, the back of a spoon and even a pond. And then there are days when I wished everyone was blind, every mirror shattered, the serene water turbulent, anything to avoid me seeing my face. One such day when my skin was going through a blearrrgh phase I decided to put my face on the web and show you how I deal with it. My savior is the MAC studio fix fluid foundation which has been my HG foundation for about three months now.

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!
