When In Doubt, Strobe or Highlight Featuring Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze

REVIEW: Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze

Strobing is not new. It is the latest trend that has taken the makeup and beauty world by storm. Everyone is strobing... All models walking the runways of the world have strobed skin. Strobing... Strobing... Strobing... The term's everywhere...

Strobing literally translates to highlighting in layman's terms... Earlier it was contouring and highlighting, now its simply highlighting... Strobing or highlighting looks more natural than contouring no doubt and hence perhaps that's why its being embraced by everyone...

I am personally a huge fan of strobing and I have a decent collection of highlighters from drugstore to high-end... Today I am going to be reviewing a high-end highlighter that I use to strobe. Ladies and gentlemen please put your hands together for Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze.

Price of Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze

It costs INR 2490/-

The Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick consists of 5 bars of gorgeous shimmer that is very finely milled, is extremely soft in texture and is not chunky at all. As far as the shades are concerned, the first bar is a pale gold, the second a beautiful champagne gold, the third a copper-ish gold, fourth a peachy gold and the fifth a bronzed gold. They are really gorgeous individually as well as together.

As far as multitasking is concerned, the shimmer brick can be used as a palette of 5 shimmery eye shadows but I personally love using it as a highlighter, the way it was meant to be used. Its great for highlighting one's cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the cupid's bow, the chin as well as the center of the forehead.

The shimmer brick has no odor and the shimmer particles are not chunky at all. They are very fine and they impart a natural looking sheen to one's skin. The product is buildable and hence easy to work with.

The Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze comes in a sturdy but glossy black case with Bobbi Brown lettering, typical to all Bobbi Brown products. The packaging is like that of a compact and has a very good quality mirror as well.

Overall Rating:
10/10

Recommendation:
Even though it is a little pricey (it is Bobbi Brown!) the quality of course is amazing and hence I feel the price is justified. I love the product and recommend it to everyone who is into highlighting and well as per the latest trend, Strobing :)

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…
