Top 5: My Current Favorite Skincare Products

My Top 5 Current Favorite Skincare Products

Just when you think you finally have everything under control in life, your skin decides to get a mind of its own and wreak havoc all over the face... Raise your hands if this is true for you too...

My skin is generally well behaved but there are moments when I raise my hands up with exasperation and surrender to its whims and fancies... But this obviously doesn't mean I give up on it... After I have given my skin some space and then get down to make things better...

I don't really have a set skincare routine per se and neither do I stick to the same products... Being a beauty blogger I am generally trying out new products every week and hence my favorites and HG skincare products change pretty often. In this post, I am going to share with you all my Current Top 5 Favorite Skincare Products...

So here goes...

1.  Just Herbs Apricot Sparkle Skin Radiance Scrub

An old favorite this is my favorite face scrub till date. It is mild yet effective and because of its creamy consistency it doesn't dry out my skin.
I generally use a face scrub once in 5 days and concentrate more on my nose and cheek area. Sometimes when I have a lot of time in hand, I take a facial steam before using the scrub.

2. NIVEA Aqua Effect Refreshing Toner

This is the latest product to join my skincare kitty and I am liking it so far. I use a toner everyday and essentially after every time I wash my face. A toner is used to close one's pores and it prevents the occurrence of black and white heads.
I apply a toner using a cotton ball.

3. The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2-in-1 Eye Cream

Another old favorite, this eye cream has changed the way I look at skincare. Like I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, an eye cream is probably one of those underrated products that we generally tend to skip but should be an essential in everyone's skincare regimen.
I use eye creams everyday and apply them under my moisturiser.

4. Johnson's Baby Lotion

This is perhaps one product that I have been using since the time I can remember. I use it on my face and neck and it quenches my skin's thirst very satisfactorily. Sometimes when my skin feels extra dry I apply two layers. Even though its a baby lotion, it serves adult skin very well too.

5. The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask

A recent find, I was sent this wonderful product by The Body Shop and I am hands-down in love with this. I use it everyday before bed and I wake up to youthful bouncy skin every morning. It is a little tricky where the texture is concerned, since it is gel like and initially feels a little tacky or sticky. But it gets absorbed in a while and the tackiness disappears.

So that's a lowdown on my current favorite skincare products. I hope you find this post helpful.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
