REVIEW: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paolo

REVIEW: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paolo

Now this is one post that has been due since I don't know when... I sit to write it and something just keeps coming up and I end up shelving it... So today when the pati called me up to tell me that we were going for a movie and it would be the last show (10:30 pm to 12:30 pm), I was like, come what may I am going to have this review even if I have to stay up the night....

And well that's exactly whats happening... It's 2:10 am right now and even though we wrapped up the movie 2 hours ago, I was still lolling around, making up my mind to finally sit down and talk about this gorgeous shade of a lipstick called the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paolo...

Btw we watched "Tanu Weds Manu 2" and honestly I hated it... I know I am in the minority here especially with people going Ga-Ga over the movie but I just did not like it... I wasn't a fan of Part 1 and well I didn't find Part 2 converting me either... I just feel that they ended up making a mockery out of the concept of marriage...

So coming back to the actual content of the post and that is the review :)

Price of NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paolo

It costs INR 570/- in Sephora

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paolo is the first Matte Lip Cream I got from the range and was a part of my first Spehora Pune Haul :) The shade is a glorious pink that looks absolutely gorgeous on Indian Skin Tones. Its a dull-ish Pink in the tube but on the lips turns into a muted bright pink... It has some amazing staying power and on me it stays for more than 6 hours after which it starts coming off...

Texture wise like the name suggests, it is matte... A delightful, creamy, matte that applies very smoothly (like a paste?) and then dries into a matte mask... I don't know if its making sense :P
It has a yummy vanilla-ish fragrance that is genuinely delicious...

The tube that the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream comes in is made of plastic  and the cap has a suede-ish finish. It has a doe-foot applicator.

The only con that I find with this product that after about 4 hours of wear, it starts to feel a little drying on the lips and then one needs to either apply a lip balm over it or perhaps apply a fresh coat of the lip cream...

This a gorgeous pink that suits most skin tones and you must give it a try if you can!

Overall Rating:

  1. It looks lovely on you & I must say that I'm loving the fresh, pink toned look altogether :)

  2. Pretty shade and it looks great on you.

  3. Ooohh Sam I love how the color turned out on you...somehow it ended up looking so fugly on me :P

  4. Love this color, will go well with all season

  5. And hey I could not find it online and in amazon its like 917 bucks!!! Could you plz suggest some other online site??!! ☺

  6. I just ordered me one of these and I can't wait to receive it (gotto buy it online, coz we don't have a sephora in this city!) Love the color on you! 💋💄

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
