REVIEW: Sephora 10Hr Wear Perfection Foundation

REVIEW: Sephora 10Hr Wear Perfection Foundation

You know the times when you buy something recklessly and once you reach home, you realise that the product you just bought could actually end up not being great or could end up not suiting you :/ Happens to me a lot since I never read reviews of products before I buy them... Yeah I am a beauty blogger and I do not read reviews... :P

So the latest to join the club of 'reckless buys' was the Sephora 10Hr Wear Perfection Foundation. I bought it 2 reasons:
  1. I was dying to try out a new foundation cause I was sort of bored of my MAC Face & Body and Kryolan Ultra Foundation.
  2. I love foundations in glass bottle that have a pump...

Price of Sephora 10Hr Wear Perfection Foundation

    It costs INR 1320/-

I bought the shade Light 23. I had matched the foundation to my jawline at the store and due to the lighting at the store it looked like an exact match. However, at home it looked like it could be much lighter for my skintone... I contemplated returning it... And then I forgot about it... I remembered well after 2 weeks and I was sure that by then even Sephora wouldn't exchange it... So I had no choice but to open the seal and try it...

But Lo and Behold, the foundation was an exact match. It looked fabulous on me...

As the shade matched me to the tee and I started wearing it more often... The finish was just perfect. It would be a perfect foundation for those with normal to oily skin but I make it work for me with a thick layer of moisturiser underneath... The finish isn't matte and neither dewy. Its somewhere in between and it looks beautiful...

The staying power of the foundation is just fantastic! It stays on the whole day and doesn't budge. It does not highlight dry patches and that is one of my favorite things about the foundation.

The Sephora 10Hr Wear Perfection Foundation gives medium coverage but is buildable to give you a heavy coverage as well. However, it gives a very natural finish and indeed looks like second skin. It just doesn't looks like you have makeup on...
Surprisingly it is odorless and the pump that comes with it is just great to dispense the right amount of product.

There is a huge range of shades available for this foundation and hence everyone is guaranteed to find a shade that matches them...

I cannot think of anything that could be counted as a negative of this product except that it is available only at Sephora outlets.

    Overall Rating:

I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to try this foundation out.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
