REVIEW: MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack

Review of MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack

This post has been long due... What can I say, I am a procrastinator... You wont believe it but honestly its been a year since I have been shelving this review and today when I woke up in the morning, I just promised to myself that I'd have the review out and LIVE before End Of Day today!

So here I am reviewing the cult favorite MAC Blacktrack Fluidline...

Its basically a fancy name given my MAC to a gel liner (Fluidline) and the shade name is Blacktrack... It is hands down the best black gel liner I have used it till date...

Price of MAC Blacktrack Fluidline

It costs INR 1100/-

MAC Blacktrack Fluidline is the jet-est of black and stays on for the whole day without budging. I have oily lids and yet it stays on my lids without budging. Like I said its really black and when I say that I really mean it...

Before I fell for Blacktrack, my favorite used to be the Maybelline Gel Liner cause it is as black as black can be and it stayed on for pretty long as well. But texture wise the Maybelline Gel Liner was very goopy and cleaning the liner brush after every use was very tedious. And this is where MAC Blacktrack takes the winning position. It has a soft, fluffy, almost souffle-ish texture that doesn't spoil your liner brushes, is easy to clean up and most importantly does not dry in the tub while it dries quickly on your lids...

I wear it on my lashline as well as on my waterline.

MAC Blacktrack is pure Black Magic...

In a good way...

MAC Blacktrack comes in a signature glass pot that is signature to all MAC Fluidlines and somehow I love them. Many find them inconvenient for travel but I have no such issues with them... I just pop it into my vanity bag and I am good to go...

Overall Rating:
10/10

Recommendation:
Its a fabulous liner and if it fits your budget then you must get yourself a pot.

Dupe of MAC Blacktrack Fluidline:
Maybelline 36H Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Black.

Comments

  1. That slightly winged liner, the large hoops and the nude lips give such a retro-ish look to the pics! Love it...what lippy is that?

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
