REVIEW: The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening Eye Cream

Every now and then I fall
Every now and then I lose control
In your eyes I see your thoughts surrounding me
And I've a little bit of thought for you
'Cause every now and then I fall a bit behind
Every time I stare into your eyes
'Cause every now and then I fall a bit behind
Every time I stare into your eyes

I have been listening to this song on repeat since morning and I must have heard it at least 18765 times. I have been working to this song, I gymmed to this song, I raved of this song, I cooked to this song and now I am blogging to this song...
I got to know of it from a quite an unexpected source... The new intern at work asked me to listen to the song and boy am I hooked!
Will leave a link at the bottom of this post to this song!

So anyways... Coming back to our post for today... I don't know if you all remember or know (you wouldn't if you don't follow me on Instagram) that I have been using a new eye cream since the past month... The product in question is The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening Eye Cream...

I have tried 2 eye creams from TBS in the past and both didn't work for me sadly. One was the TBS Vitamin E Eye Cream and the other was the TBS Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream and neither worked for me. So when I was sent the TBS Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening Eye Cream I wasn't too thrilled...

Let's find out how it fared...

Price of The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2 in 1 Brightening Eye Cream

It costs a whopping INR 2295/-

The TBS Moisture White Shiso Eye Cream comes in a White tube with the signature green artwork consisting of leaves and has a unique metal nozzle. The metal nozzle is invariably always cold and hence when you apply the cream using it, the region around the eyes instantly calms down. The cream itself doesn't really have a fragrance but I always find a faint, organic sort of smell lingering after I apply the cream. And that's not necessarily a bad thing!

The eye cream promises to do two things:
1. Brighten the eye area
2. Reduce the appearance of signs of fatigue

Well I have been leading an extremely unhealthy life the past couple of months... Sleeping at 4:00 am, rising at 9 am, not removing my makeup before going to bed and lots and lots of traveling... I guess this was the best test I could have made the eye cream go through and well it passed... I wont say with flying colors but it passed pretty comfortably :)

I do see a little darkness under my eyes but I am guessing it would have been worse had I not been applying eye cream regularly. Most importantly though, the fine lines around my eyes have reduced. I swear! Not only that I do not see any new lines or creases around my eyes even though my sleeping patterns have been something that I am not proud of!

Overall Rating:

It is one of the better eye creams I have used till date and the fact that it reduces fine lines and makes the under eye area plumper is the reason why I recommend this eye cream. The price however is a dampener of sorts.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
