LOTD: Fresh Glowy Summer Makeup Look

Revisiting the Maybelline Colorsensational Hi Shine Lipgloss in Raspberry Reflections for a Glowy Summer Makeup Look!

Phew! And that is a really long title, isn't it?

Hey Guys! So I have been playing with a lot of textures makeup-wise lately and I ended up with this look that is all about a matte face (perfect for humid summers) and a glossy lip... While I was deciding between using the MaybellineColorsensational Lip Polish and the L'Oreal Color Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in Rouge Allegro, my attention veered towards a forgotten gloss... So I gave it a shot hoping I'd remember why I had given it rave reviews a year back...

Oh! And fabulous it was!

The gloss that I am talking about is the Maybelline Colorsensational Hi Shine Lip Gloss in Raspberry Reflections.

So here's the look...

Makeup Breakup
1. I wanted the look to be simple, summery and most importantly girly...
2. I have kept the face matte and evened out with a pop of shine on the lips.
3. Since the gloss is really pale and barely has any colour, I wanted the eyes to be a little more defined.
4. Even though the eyeshadows have been kept pretty subtly, I have drawn attention to the eyes using a sharply drawn winged liner and loads and loads of mascara.
5. I have a pink blush on to subtly give some color to my face.

Makeup Products Used:
1. Sephora 10Hr Wear Perfection Foundation
2. NYX Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer
3. NYX HD Studio Photogenic Finishing Powder
4. MAC Let Me Pop Paint Pot
5. MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow
6. Maybelline Colossal The Liner
7. Bobbi Brown Blush in Apricot
8. Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara
9. Maybelline Colorsensational Hi Shine Lipgloss in Raspberry Reflections

P.S. I look super chubby don't I? :(

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
