ISLM Rants: Was MIA and Now I Am Back!

Hey Guys! I have been Missing In Action since almost a week now and I know you guys have been missing new posts on ISLM. I know I have missed doing posts this past week... So I thought I'd tell you guys whats been keeping me busy this whole week...

We received some new stock for HOI. It needed to be categorized, inventorized, needed photoshoots to be done, pictures edited and finally uploaded onto the site... We couldn't put everything up but did some...

Additionally work's been crazy busy... I have had some really hard deadlines to meet and had been working like a maniac (well almost!)... I had work all day and all night and by Friday evening I was so zombified (no sleep for 72 hours straight) that I just collapsed on my bed after I came back from office... I woke up the next day at 1:00 pm feeling unfresh (still!)...

Then we had to set up this pop-up store for Handlooms Of India on Sunday at Raasta Cafe... So the whole of the Saturday, rather whatever was left of it. was spent in getting stuff ready for it... Getting new tags printed to getting brown bags stamped with our logo to doing inventory...

Sighhhhhh...

I feel exhausted just talking about it all..

We were doing that the whole Saturday night...

Then Sunday dawned early for us as we had to reach the Registrar's office at 7:00 am. The pati and I bought a flat together and the registration was to be done... Once done, we had haul *all* our HOI stuff to the venue and set up the stalls and all the jazz that comes with it...

The whole experience of setting up the pop-up shop was so much fun though... It was the first time we were showcasing our products physically (and not virtually). The adrenaline rush of our first sale, the frustration of someone visiting the stall, admiring stuff but walking away without buying anything, the high of one happy customer getting her friends to buy stuff as well, all of that was just worth the whole hard work that went behind it all...

It was just great!

And then it rained... It was just fantastic... The weather's beautiful all over again, the heat has all disappeared I feel energized all over again :)

The only 2 things that let me look sane and hence feel confident were The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso 2-in-1 Eye Cream and NYX Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer... Thank God for them!

I'll have a beauty posted lined up real soon...
Tell me you guys missed me :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
