REVIEW: Tarte Lip Surgence Lip Tint in Alluring

Review of Tarte Lip Surgence Lip Tint in Alluring

ISLM Writer: Himani

Hey all beauty geeks!!! Come summers and all you want to wear on lips is a light weight and hydrating lip color. No doubt there are several lip balms that give you both the color and the hydration. However, Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tints have a cult following in the makeup world all thanks to both immense hydration and beautiful color on the lips.

I am reviewing Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Alluring today. Lets check out do these lip tints really deserve the love they get from all the makeup addicts!!! :)

Price of Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Alluring:

It costs USD 24.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Alluring is defined as a mauve shade by the company. I find the shade to be a mauve with pink undertones, which makes it extremely wearable. The shade will look good on almost all skin tones and can serve as MLBB or a perfect nude shade depending on the complexion.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Alluring has a very smooth and creamy texture. It glides on evenly on the lips and leave behind a glossy shine. The lip tint is very hydrating on the lips and feels super comfortable. It does not look patchy or garish after multiple coats as well. One thing which might bother some people is the strong minty scent, which is a characteristic of almost all the Tarte lip tints. Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Alluring has a minty cooling sensation on the lips which lasts for a long time.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Alluring has a decent pigmentation. You can definitely build it up by multiple coats. The layering does not spoil the color and it still looks completely natural. Since the lip tint is very creamy and moisturizing, the staying power is not very much. Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Alluring lasts on me for 2-3 hours and does not survive a meal by any chance. Yes, this does make me sad. :(

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tints have been pioneer in chubby lip pencils packaging. Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Alluring comes in the same packaging with an easy twist-up mechanism. I find the packaging to be both cute and convenient at the same time.

Ooooohhsss And Aaaahhhsss!!!
1. Beautiful pinky mauve shade.
2. Glossy shine.
3. Creamy texture.
4. Very hydrating on the lips.
5. Buildable pigmentation.
6. Feels very light on the lips.
7. Cute and convenient packaging.

1. Average staying power.
2. Transfers easily.
3. Expensive for a lip balm.
4. Very strong minty fragrance.
5. Unavailability in India.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Alluring is a beautiful combination of immense moisture and pretty color for lips. The cute packaging and the buildable pigmentation further makes a case for owning this beauty. The only thing which spoils the party is the average staying power given the price you pay for it. Over all, a decent buy for a glam lip balm.

Overall Rating:

  1. Awesome this is interesting.. Wonderful Wedding planning Ideas.. Great Information Thanks..

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
