REVIEW: Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink

ISLM Writer: Himani

Hey all beauty geeks!!! Today I am going to review Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink. Winters are getting harsher and severe here. Though India is getting ready to say goodbye to winters for this year, we, on the other hand, will have to stay indoors for at least 2-3 more months. And this is the reason why I have opened up to hydrating lipsticks and have been avoiding my favorite matte lipsticks.

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipsticks are known for their hydrating qualities and glossy sheen. I picked up a winter appropriate color in berry, but was also fascinated by this lipstick in Posy Pink. Probably, I was getting bored of seeing darker colors all around me that I had to pick up a lighter shade of lipstick to make me feel little summery. Yes, this is the only thing I can do to pretend warmer weather is close by. So, lets find out how Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink fared on me.

Price of Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink

It costs USD 20.

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipsticks come in 20 different shades with finishes in both matte and cream. Since I was already ignoring my matte lipsticks, I picked up Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink which has a cream finish. This lipstick is described as 'Peachy Rose' by the company. And I agree with the shade description. Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink is a beautiful shade of peachy pink with warmer undertones. In fact, it does not look out of place even if I wear this in winters because of the warm tone. I love paring this lipstick with jewel-toned eye shadows. This ensures my makeup is winter appropriate and I can wear this fresh pink shade even in cooler weather.

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink is super creamy and glides like a dream on my dry lips. It feels very hydrating and moisturizing in harsh winters. Since the lipstick has a cream finish, it leaves a glossy sheen on the lips. Nothing like too much shiny or shimmery. It has a tendency to transfer a bit though. The pigmentation is good as well. I do not need to apply more than 2 swipes to get a decent color on the lips, even though it is a lighter shade. The one area where it fails me is the staying power. No, it is not very bad; I expect my lipsticks to last longer, especially the expensive ones. Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink lasts for 3-4 hours and fades away after a meal or a drink.

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink comes in slightly different packaging as compared to other lipsticks. The outer packaging is square shaped, with a glossy black finish. The shade name is mentioned on the cap.

Ooooohhsss And Aaaahhhsss!!!
1. Gorgeous peachy pink shade.
2. Super creamy texture.
3. Applies evenly and smoothly.
4. Good pigmentation.
5. Glossy sheen to the lips.
6. Very hydrating.
7. Freshens up the face.
8. Sleek packaging.

1. Average staying power.
2. May transfer a bit.
3. Unavailability in India.

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink has become one of my preferred lipsticks to wear in cold winters. This lipstick gives a gorgeous color with hydrating feel on the lips. Looks good with all kinds of eye makeup as well. I am in love with this shade and recommend you to try this if you are looking for a moisturizing peachy pink shade.

Overall Rating:

  1. Love these kind of colors, they just go with anything, looks lovely on you

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
