LOTD: Valentine's Day Date Night Look in Olive Green & Plum

LOTD: Valentine's Day Date Night Look in Olive Green & Plum

Bored with pinks and reds for Valentine, I wanted to do something different... I mean it is natural to gravitate towards pretty shades of Pink, Purple and Red but with everyone doing the same thing I wanted to do something different. Of course there is quite a huge probability of me going for something PINK on the D-Day ;)

So this look features Olive Green eyes using my latest purchase from Sephora (Sephora Haul Video) and Plum lips using Sleek Makeup Pout Paint (Luxola Haul Post)... I have used a new foundation in this look also a purchase from Sephora and have done some subtle highlight to give my face a slimmed down effect.

Makeup Products Used:
1. Sephora 10HR Wear Perfection Foundation
2. NYX HD Studio Photogenic Finishing Powder
3. The Face Shop Design My Eyebrow Brow Crayon in Dark Grey
4. MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow
5. The Face Shop Make Me Star Waterproof Gel Liner in Khaki
6. Bharat & Dorris Diamond Eyeshadow in Shade 02
7. MAC Cork Eyeshadow
8. Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Black
9. MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
10. Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Volume Flash Mascara
11. Sleek Makeup Blush By 3 in Lace - Chantilly
12. Sleek Makeup Pout Paint in Port
13. Kryolan Derma Color Fixing Spray

So what do you think of this look? Would you like a tutorial?
What look have you decided to go for on Valentine's Day?

  1. Lovvvve d olivey twist ;) N d lip color is gorgeous.. Totally digging dis look...

  2. Please do a tutorial for this look Samtukta. And also suggest me an alternative for that lipstick and eye pencil from a drugstore brand.

    1. Thank you so much Geethu :) As far drugstore lipsticks for a similar shade are concerned you could try your luck with Inglot #33 and Maybelline Colorsensatiodnal Vivids lipstick in Vivid Rose. For the pencil you could try Bourjois cause I think I remember seeing a similar shade there...

  3. gorgeousness can well be your middle name sweetie... This is such a beautiful look indeed. And the lips complete the much needed valentine mush.... Super loved... <3 <3 <3

  7. I really liked this look! Quite different and something I would definitely wear on V-Day, though I would go for something lighter on the lips coz dark colors make my lips shrink :(.

    1. Dark colors make my lips look thin as well... But I have this trick that I do... I think I should do a tutorial on this... What a fab idea you have given me Lana... Thank you ♥

  8. Beautiful glittery olive eyes..U can rock anything :)

  9. Really hot date night look! It is definitely something different from the usual V-Day looks,.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…
