REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Collection Star Red Lipsticks

The Indian Beauty Blogosphere has been since the past couple of weeks gushing, raving and incessantly talking about a range of Red lipsticks from L'Oreal Paris called the Collection Star Red range... I know at least I am ;)

When I received the samples and sampled the lippies, I knew I L'Oreal Paris had hit Jackpot with this range and I wanted to do something special with this range... And so an idea popped into my head where I asked you all about the kind of review you'd like me to do for this range... And the vote was unanimous and here I am with a Video Review for this utterly fabulous range of lipsticks...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Collection Star Red Lipsticks:

They cost INR 995/-

L'Oreal Paris Collection Star Red Lipsticks in India come in a range of 7 shades, each picked out by one L'Oreal Paris ambassador.
The shades range from Fire Engine Red to Orange to Coral to Pink to Berry...
The shades are:
Pure Brick - Orange-ish Red - Aishwarya Rai
Pure Rouge - Fire Engine Red - Freida Pinto
Pure Garnet - Berry Red - Sonam Kapoor
Pure Scarleto - Bright Red with pinkish undertones - Blake Lively
Pure Amaranthe - Fuchsia Pink - Gong Li
Pure Vermeil - Coral Red - Fan BingBing
Pure Flame - Orange - Li BingBing

For swatches of other shades, please see the video :)

Texture wise the lipsticks are super hydrating and yet matte... They are very light weight and do not feel heavy on the lips. Once allowed to settle they are like tattoos on the lips and stay for like ever!

The only con of these lipsticks are that they are a really expensive.

Red Lipsticks Are For EveryOne!

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
