REVIEW: Wet N Wild Colour Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine

ISLM Writer: Himani

Hey all beauty geeks!!! Today I am going to review Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine. Blush is one makeup product that takes me into another world altogether. Honestly, I believe there can be nothing more dreamy than a beautiful blush color. The color on the cheeks can transform an entire look for Drab to Fab.

Wet N Wild is a very affordable brand known for its awesome eye shadows. However, the Color Icon blushes from the brand are equally popular. These blushes come in 4 stunning shades. Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine was an instant pick for the beautiful shade it is. Among its peers, it seemed as the only shade to be safe and not 'over-the-top'. Was I right in picking up this beauty?? Read more to find out.

Price of Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher:

It costs USD 3 approx.

Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine is one of the most versatile shades I have ever used. It is a muted rose shade with peach undertones. Such an awesome blend of colors makes it wearable with pink, corals, red and even nude lipstick shades. Whenever I am in a doubt about the color of the blush to wear, this is my only choice. And the best part is its finish - absolute matte. Not a slight hint of sheen or shimmer. This makes it perfect for all skin days. No more worries of pores getting emphasized or a blemish being highlighted. Just a swipe of this blush gives a mysterious yet gorgeous color to my cheeks. And I am ready to walk out the door feeling more beautiful. Ok, I went a little overboard. But this blush definitely is a very safe and pretty bet at all times.

Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine has a very smooth and creamy texture. It is not at all powdery and I have never experienced any fall out. Because of its smooth texture, it is a dream to blend and just melts into the skin. Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine is perfect for all the skin tones. Though the color looks little intimidating in the pan, but once you apply and blend it well, it becomes a natural flush on the cheeks.

The shade is decently pigmented. One swipe of brush will get you enough blush to get little color on the cheeks. Do not worry, it is not very pigmented also so that you end up with clown cheeks. It is apt for both beginners and experts. Your cheeks will keep on looking a beautiful shade of dusty pink for around 5-6 hours. The color fades away gradually and does not end up looking patchy by the end of the day. Plus, it does not transfer at all.

Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine has the basic 'no-frills' packaging. It comes in a plastic rectangular pan with a clear lid. The blush comes with a small brush as well, but I have never used it honestly. Though the packaging looks little cheap, it is quite sturdy and very convenient to store.

Ooooohhsss And Aaaahhhsss!!!
1. A very pretty muted shade of rosy pink.
2. Impressive pigmentation.
3. Ultra-smooth and soft texture.
4. Matte finish.
5. Very blend-able.
6. Decent staying power.
7. Perfect for all skin tones.
8. Superrrrr affordable.
9. Applies evenly.
10. Does not look patchy on the face.

1. The accompanying brush is of no use.
2. Very cheap looking and boring packaging.
3. Limited availability.

Of course, Yes!!!

Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine is one blush that every makeup lover needs to have in their kitty. The gorgeous shade and the matte finish makes it suitable for all skin tones. In fact, it is a perfect gift for any blush lover. I love the shade, pigmentation and lasting power of this blush. Highly recommended!!!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In NC42

Review of MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In Shade NC42

Guest Post By: Rmyah

There are days when I just cannot help look at myself through any reflective surface that I can. Be it mirrors, glass doors, rear view mirrors, the back of a spoon and even a pond. And then there are days when I wished everyone was blind, every mirror shattered, the serene water turbulent, anything to avoid me seeing my face. One such day when my skin was going through a blearrrgh phase I decided to put my face on the web and show you how I deal with it. My savior is the MAC studio fix fluid foundation which has been my HG foundation for about three months now.
